The guy who played Max was on America's Next Top at the beginning of last fall's cycle when the top 14 contestants were taken to Magic Castle. I caught the repeat on Oxygen last saturday and I thought there was something familiar about the guy welcoming the models to Magic Castle and introducing Travis, Paulina, and Miss J.

Those Tori episodes just showed how badly written Saved by the Bell was.

And let's not forget the first season that takes place in Junior High in Indiana with Hayley Mills as the teacher, Zach, Lisa, Screech and Mr. Belding and for the next season, Zach, Lisa, Screech, Belding and the set were now at a High School in California. Saved by the Bell was one of the most compulsively watchable bad TV shows ever.

I can't BELIEVE how bad Lark Voorhees looks now. Her religious beliefs might've caused her to quit Days, but damn it's too bad they didn't stop her from going after the title of World's Worst Plastic Surgery Result. She's only in her 30s now and that's how she looks!

And what is it with actresses who play rich bitchy characters on sitcoms becoming really religious? First Blair from Facts of Life and then Lisa from SBTB.

Also, on another subject, let me say that growing up I had a crush on Mark Paul Gosselar. And now that I'm grown, I still have a crush on Mark Paul Gosselar. Damn, he has aged well:

Him, Mario and Jessie aged the best. Lark and Tiffani (who now looks like a big-headed midget) haven't.

I'm pretty sure they filmed 13 episodes of Senior year + the graduation as planned but NBC wanted to film more eps. Jessie & Kelly didn't sign on cause they wanted to try other stuff (ie smoke pot in Casa de Walsh and swim naked in pools w/ Bri Hodges & Charlottes Yorks husband). So they brought in Tori and alternated between the J/K and T eps.

I hate myself for knowing this all in such great detail

As mentioned above, the character of Tori Scott (Leanna Creel) was added in later episodes as an initial sparring partner and later girlfriend for Zack. Originally, the final season consisted of thirteen episodes featuring the original cast and the cast members' contracts with the show expired after those episodes were completed with the final graduation episode. However, NBC ordered more episodes of the show and Thiessen and Berkley refused to sign new contracts. Rather than producing new episodes with only four cast members, a new character, Tori Scott, was added to serve as a replacement for Kelly and Jessie.

Oddly enough, the promos for the final season of the show featured Kelly, Jessie, and Tori together, despite the fact that the actresses never actually appear in an episode together. Rather, the network alternated between "Kelly and Jessie" and "Tori" episodes each week.

During the "Tori" episodes, it was never explained why Jessie and Kelly were not present and likewise for the "Kelly and Jessie" episodes, no mention was made of Tori. When the season aired in the UK, the episodes tended to be reordered so that the Tori episodes and the Jessie and Kelly episodes were shown together. This was scarcely less confusing, since no mention was ever made of Tori's sudden disappearance and Kelly and Jessie's equally sudden reappearance partway through the season.

Notably, Lisa wears her hair differently in the Tori episodes.

Didn't the actress that played Tori have an identical twin in real life? I think they were in the movie Freeway.

Tori was recently in one of those Progressive insurance commercials, asking the Progressive girl whether she was getting a good deal. Her hair was blondish and long but I recognized her. Or maybe that was one of her sisters??

Hah! I always wondered why Jessie/Kelly reappeared at the end of the last season even though Tori had taken their place during the last week....

She did; I watched a few eps with her. Then she quit Days because the storylines conflicted with her religious beliefs. Wonder why she didn't think of that before she accepted the job. Then, I think she went on another soap.

She was on Bold and the Beautiful for awhile too.

Yeah, it would have been super easy to just make little references here and there like "Oh I was at Kelly's studying last night" or shit like that to make it seem like they were still going to school there, I don't know why they never did. Just another thing that doesn't make sense on this show.

I love how in the drinking & driving episode, Screech doesn't drink at all and could very obviously drive but Lisa or someone says "You're a bad driver!" and they let Zack drive instead. Yeah!! Let's have a drunk drive instead of a bad driver!! That'll work!

Oh and also the fact that all of the cast members have every high school talent imaginable... sports, art, instrument playing, singing, etc. etc... My personal favorite being Jessie, Kelly, & Lisa as "Hot Sundae"...

The woman in the Progressive commercials is her sister Monica Creel. Leanna played Tori. The third sister's name is Joy.

Leanna Creel (born August 27, 1970) is an American actress, film producer, film director, screenwriter and photographer. She is best known for the role of Tori Scott on the last season of NBC teen sitcom Saved by the Bell.

Career

Born in Los Angeles, California, Creel is an identical triplet who, along with her sisters Monica and Joy, started acting in the late 1980s. They appeared together in two television movies aired on The Wonderful World of Disney: The Parent Trap III and The Parent Trap IV: Hawaiian Honeymoon. In 1992, Creel had a guest role in an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210, alongside Monica. That same year, she landed the role of Tori in Saved by the Bell. Following her stint on Saved by the Bell, Creel had roles guest roles on One West Waikiki and Ned & Stacey.

Creel produced her first film in 1994, helping out a friend whose producer had been involved in a car accident. She also worked for the game Hollywood Stock Exchange (HSX). In 1998 she founded a film production company, Ignite Entertainment, with HSX's Michael Burns as President of Production.^[1] Creel now works as a wedding photographer.

Personal life

Creel is a lesbian.^[2] On June 18, 2008, when California legalized same-sex marriages, she married Rinat Greenberg.^[2]^[3] Rinat gave birth to a son Levi on June 20, 2008.^[4]

Did one of her sisters play the daughter Emily on the sitcom "Empty Nest" for a few seasons? I could've sworn it was the actress who played Tori, but "Empty Nest" isn't listed in her filmography.

Here's a Q& A interview with Dustin Diamond where he talks a little more about what's in his book. He really does sound like a prick:

Diamond Dishes Dirt in 'Bell' Tell-All

He claims that the Mark-Paul Gosselaar on steroids things happened during "The College Years" and that MPG told him flat-out that he was on steroids. He also claims that at one point during the show Mario Lopez was accused of rape, but NBC paid the girl off.

And the interviewer asks him if now that he's written the book if he's afraid of running into Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Mario Lopez. His exact answer: "I hope I bump into them. If you're asking me if I'm afraid, I'm more dangerous with martial arts than Mark-Paul or Mario ever was."

He also talks some smack on Mario Lopez for being a "host" now instead of acting. Um, hey Dustin, what exactly have you been doing for the last 10 years besides still playing Screech, doing stand-up comedy about how you were Screech, and writing a book about your time playing Screech? Oh yeah, that's right, you made a gross sex-tape, was on "Biggest Loser" twice, and scammed what few fans you have out of their money with the whole "Help Save Screech's House" thing. Yeah, you're doing so much better than Mario Lopez.

This isn't going to hurt MPG or Mario's credability at all.

It is a well-accepted fact throughout the industry that Dustin is a complete and utter joke (and again, I don't even hate the guy).

MPG could come out and say tomorrow that Dustin said to his face that he (Dustin) was using crack... doesn't make it true - although it probably is. It is an absurd claim on Diamond's part and one that really feels like Dustin was grasping at straws because had nothing on MPG. Also, lets just say it is true - it wouldn't be the first time an actor used 'roids to buff up - I have yet to see any ramifications for Rourke using outside of winning a Golden Globe.

The rape is of course a far more serious allegation, but if Dustin somehow knew about this, you get the feeling that most on the show and/or NBC brass would have known as well - and with the show as popular as it was, it would have been bound to get out.

I'm not buying.

I remember watching the E! true hollywood story on SBTB. It painted the picture that the cast all got a long really well but Screech was always the outcast, and never was close friends with his cast. He was a couple years younger than all of them.

This is clearly the result of years of built of resentment that he never got to bang Lisa and MPG did.

I actually remember when Mario was accused of date rape but I don't remember what happened with it, whether the charges were dropped or if the girl was found to be lying or what. So I can actually believe that the girl was paid off but would be disappointed that someone would take money rather than have their rapist go to jail if her accusations were true.
