It is a voyeurs delight. All the Single Mothers out there Ought to start a writing campaign to this show. Which probably won't happen because they are too busy raising their kids alone without money and an ex husband to ever take the kids!! Fucking Kate is not a Single Mother! She is a separated Mother with Millions of dollars, Nannies and an ex- husband that takes care of the kids sometimes. :Seething hate for Kate:

At this point they don't care that these kids' father is now being dropped from the show and the title of the show. How is that going to make them feel?

On second thought, it's exactly what you think: The Gosselin who found himself on the losing side of the public sympathy battle is taking a stab at some crafty legal (not to mention PR) maneuvering in a bid to save a little face and not get completely short-shrifted in his divorce. Which, with Kate as our witness, will go through as planned. While Jon Gosselin's rep confirmed to E! News that the octodad did in fact cop to In Touch Weekly that he "used poor judgment in publicly socializing with other women so soon" after his divorce-sorry, Hailey, that was his plural, not ours-and that he would "like to get back with Kate as a partner in parenting," that's about as far as his plans for reconciliation span. And that's despite his submission to a court-approved Pennsylvania arbitrator this morning seeking to suspend his divorce proceedings for 90 days. A source close to the situation told E! News the legal move, which-coupled with his oh-so-sincere tabloid quotes-may give the outward impression of a desire to reconcile, was "not an emotional or romantic decision." Yeah, no kidding. Instead, the source said, it was "both a legal and PR strategy meant to force Kate to deal with Jon on many important issues relating to the welfare of his children." That the legal move was made the same day TLC confirmed it had severed ties with the suddenly title-stricken reality patriarch is, we're sure, just a coincidence. (Though, devil's advocate, a story about a seemingly remorseful husband would play better in Peoria than a story about a publicly grousing, cavorting, dog-abandoning and, as it turns out, dispensable father. Kate has proven that she can't interact pleasantly with anyone - not her family, not her husband, not her husband's family, and not her own children. Why anyone is still watching this train wreck is beyond me. My suspicion is that the majority of their audience is now little kids who just want to see the twins and sextuplets running around. You could not pay me to watch "Kate Plus 8" nor to attend any of her signings or lectures. As a former single mother I'm appalled that TLC is trying to play this up as "poor Kate" trying to get by on her own. Move her and the kids into a 2-bedroom apartment in the bad part of town and get around on public transportation...now THAT would be worth watching!

The magazine is reporting that Jon has submitted court papers to suspend the divorce proceedings for 90 days. He tells In Touch that "even though we were heading for a divorce, it appeared that Kate had been suffering from this divorce as much as I had. That's why I asked my attorney to put the brakes on this divorce so I could try to regain control over the future of our family. Nobody is "making jon out to be" anything - they are just reporting on the shit he's doing! Kate isn't being "made" to be the good one, she is just lying low, staying out of any controversy. I was on Team Jon at first! Now I am definitely Team Kate, not because I don't still think she's a controlling bitch, but because Jon is such an immature douchebag - just when I think he can't do anything worse, he does! It has been like watching a train wreck in slow motion with him. Will be interesting to see what the next couple of weeks brings... (he can't hold it together for long - there WILL be something else douchey soon...)

I have no doubt in my mind that he did this to weasel out of paying child support and for the kid's college funds because he will be 'unemployed' in a few months. The thing about PA and child support, the parent is expected to earn whatever they earned at the last job. So if Jon never made big bucks and is unemployed, his support payment will be based on that. Kate probably earns more than Jon so the courts will take into account her income as well. And also PA is one of the states where parents cannot be compelled (by child support) to pay for college, so unless you have an agreement in place as part of the divorce to pay for college, you cannot be forced (by Child Support Court) to pay for college for a child over 18. (unless there is some handicap) So Jon won't be paying much. F him. Let him spend a few years with Hailey, I bet he will be longing for the days when he was with Kate & Co.

If they share custody, but one is the primary custodial parent the primary custodial parent can still receive child support. If the one parent makes substantially more money then the other, there is sometimes child support. It is normally determined at the divorce. As far as college costs, no parent is required to pay for college for their children unless it is stated in the divorce. (Heck, a lot of parents that are still together don't pay any of their children's college costs.) Normally CS stops at high school graduation unless they are still under 18 - it is generally paid to 19 if they are still in high school. Again, unless they agreed to a different plan at divorce. Didn't Jon want out of the show? I would "assume" if he is still being featured, and the children are still in the show, that he is still getting some sort of money. Sooner or later - people are going to loose complete interest in both of the mediawhores. Rob, do you have a crush on Jon?

I'm not on anyone's side, I don't watch the show (I don't get TLC- or I probably would) but it smells like Kate is being the c.unty bitch she is.
