Well, JT, it depends on which direction you're looking from. There are eighteen people left, and edgic has eliminated 14 or so.

That's the point I was making. It has nothing to do with "15-19 non-winners." It's already eliminated 14 or so. I suppose that doesn't mean a lot to you, or indicates some flaw in edgic, but so be it. Maybe it would have been clearer if I had written "In fact, I'd posit that edgic is often just as good - if not better - at quickly determining a list of who will not win as who will win." After all, the traditional edgic selection episode is the first post-merge episode... right?

And yes, cindidindi, according to edgic both Russells are eliminated. People who are keeping them in their winners list (or Monica, for that matter) are using some metric other than edgic. (Maybe I can hear some legitimate justification why Good Russell was UTR (he sure had more face/talk/JP time than the traditional INV) Here's a thought - If people were to list their "edgic winners" followed by "Type 2 winners" along with some justification other than hormones, that would be interesting because I enjoy reading fantasy as much as the next person. But because there are no Type 2 metrics like edgic metrics, it's just a bunch of us mouthing off - in a good way.

Look, I'm not some edgic true believer - edgic is what it is, and sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. In the great scheme of things all I care about is that I'm not bored but rather entertained by the show. Edgic is a fun addition to my enjoyment, whether I pick Chris (yea) or Amanda (LOL).

If there was ever a season that screamed Type 2 so soon it's this one, simply because so many have been eliminated - in other words, because there are so few possible edgic winners left. I almost hope that's the case, because I'd rather be totally surprised by unexpected boots and twists than just think, "Well, looks like Earl" about twenty minutes into the first episode.
