And not having a confessional shouldn't hurt Liz's chances, especially with her being present during many discussions... In another 20 person season, FvF, Parvati apparently didn't have any confessionals in the third episode either.Yep, but unfortunately Parvati had a much stronger first episode. Let's face it, our pickin's are very meager this season. That's why Liz shouldn't be eliminated and neither should Uncle Fester. |

I think Liz is an interesting one to watch- no confessionals, but she got 5000000 facial shots, she got praised by Shambo, she was in a ton of
conversations, and she kept getting complimented at the challenge for something not that special.

I think that given Kelly is zeroing in on Lilliana's record, her Ep 3 rating requires careful consideration before we give her another INV.
Kelly did get to read treemail and she was praised by JP during his challenge commentary (and we all know JP's comments carry additional weight). I confess that I have not rewatched the episode, but at this point I think on the balance of the evidence that a UTR1 is warranted. Think carefully before voting folks - we don't want to diminish Lilliana's achievement by tossing around INV's carelessly. |

oops sorry :)NP :) I actually want to see Liz win the most (now that Betsy is gone). She seems smart, is playing somewhat coy but not too much so. There have only been 7 female winners in 18 seasons-only 2 since ASS-HOW PATHETIC!!! But wishful thinking is just that. There was so much going on before TC that reaction shots, while good, are not as good as having a confessional. The point was-she was neglected in a heated episode. We've said it before, she only needed one but didn't get it. Missed opportunity. That's what killed Alexis' spot and Amanda's spot in their respective seasons early on. However, Mick is almost too good, Jaison is going to start having problems next episode, and Ashley is swimming upstream without a paddle. BUT now we have a potential pairing of Russell and Mick that waited a little while to form. Yuck! Another male final 2??? |

I had notes for everyone except Brett. This episode was a lot better in terms of editing than last episode.

Dave: UTR1 - He will be leading the mutiny against Russell. Erik: UTR1 - Not much.
John: UTR1 - I guess these are better than INVs.
Kelly: UTR1 - Read treemail and was called unstoppable at the challenge.
Laura: UTRN2- Leader of much talked about yoga team. Was constantly shown as being annoying, lazy, and too into the bad decision comfort
pick.
Monica: UTR1 - Why is she getting this minor attention every episode?
Russell S: CPM2 - Made his bed, but doesn't want to lay in it. Shambo: CPP4 - Good Shambo is back. She is shown as being smart and one of the only people to actually be playing
the game. I think she could do very well in the future, especially if there is a tribal switch.
Yasmin: UTR2 -She did have one minor scene where she is shown wanting the comfort, bvut all of the SPV knocks her up a peg in VIS in my
book.
Ben: OTTNN5 - Still NN. So glad to finally see one of the major distractions go.
Elizabeth: UTRP2- I noticed she got quite a few call out for being tough at the challenges, hence the P. I'm not sold on it yet, but I'll stick it on there for now. She was quiet, but in so many key scenes. Still my top pick. Jaison: CPP5 - Wow…I loved Jaison this episode. I thought he was great for standing up to Ben and didn't sugar coat anything in any of
his conversations with anyone. I don't think he wins, but he is obviously one of the heroes of the season.
Mick: CP4 - A lot of insight from Mick on nearly every aspect of the game from Russell to Ben to Shambo to the HII to the challenges. He is a contender and my number 2 pick. Natalie: MOR2 - Was in the middle of a lot of the conversations. She must be one of the dumbest people ever recruited for the show. May go
with UTR, have to rewatch.
Russell H: OTTN5 - He is arrogant and boring as hell. The N is warranted because the audience is sick of him saying how he has the game wrapped up and how he is controlling everyone. It's old and obnoxious and it is enough. |

Shambo has a REAL chance of eventually joining what is left of Foa Foa and has a real shot of winning. She could be accepted by Foa Foa the way JT was accepted by Timbira.Bad analogy - if she betrays the majority tribe because she doesn't fit in, she's at best the next Twila, Cassandra, or Erinn |

I think we can eliminate Monica/Jaison after this episode.
Jaison was definitely OTTP for the episode because he was opposing OTTNN Ben and was almost like a voice of the audience, trying to get annoying Ben dumped. But add in his whining that if he didn't get his way, he was quitting, and the preview for next week with more whining, I think he's toast as a winner option. Monica got another UTR episode and got terrible SPV from other positive players. Erik made a point that the girls all think it is club med, followed by shots of Monica/Laura rolling around in the shelter. Negative SPV, similar to how Twila commented that the young girls alliance (Lisa, Mia, Eliza, Julie) all should go home if they expected a hotel experience. Then Shambo commented on the laziness of her tribe to Foa Foa, adding more negative points for Monica. While Monica is not in the yoga group, it was presented to the audience that the entire tribe was lazy and wanted to do yoga. Too UTR and this negative SPV from positive characters knocks Monica off the winner list for me. I will post ratings later, but my winners list now stands at Shambo Ashley Russell H. Mick Liz I'm personally eliminating the rest of the cast. |

Something going against Ashley's chances: no winner has ever been seriously targeted more than once before the merge. The only sort of exception MIGHT be
Chris from Vanuatu, but it wasn't the same.
Ashley's been targeted twice in 3 tribal councils. That's not good for a potential winner. Edgically, she's as good as any top contender. Logically, she's in a HORRIBLE position to be considered a winner. But damn, Mick is just plain BORING right now!!! He's merely a narrator. Snore! |

These are my preliminary ratings for the episode after watching it twice:
Foa Foa Tribe
Ashley - MOR4 - Defends herself to Ben about her vote - [1] Never been so confused in my entire life; someone said I was the one who brought up Ben's name so I do not feel safe; I wanna know who told him - [2] Don't know what to think anymore; Ben has some personal thing against me, trying to not be eliminated but it's hard - [A] Not the weakest, not having a negative attitude around the tribe - [B] Known the last couple days that Ben is gonna vote for me, but I packed my bags
*** Not quite CP this time, leaning P again but not quite enough thie week
Ben - OTTNN5 - Highlighted in the recap for being a negative force at camp - [1] Almost out of flint cause these people don't know anything, I'm the only one who knows what I'm doing; Mick's not outdoorsy like me; without my help, these people will die - Tells the girls that they won't be able to start the fire on their own - Confronts Ashley about backstabbing him - [2] Ashley stabbed me in the back the other day so she's gonna get cut (complete with scissors motion) - [A] Ashley is weakest link, voting her out - Gets into an extended argument with Jaison at Tribal Council over Ben's negative comments towards Yasmin - Says that there's nothing he can think of that he regrets
Jaison - OTTP5 - Talks to Mick about strategy; says that Ben has to be the next to go - [1] Ben was this close to saying something to Yasmin that would have made me fly off the handle, he's a mental plague on the tribe - Talks with Ashley and says he might quit if Ben stays - [2] Might just walk out of the game if Ben is still here, but have no intention of actually quitting - Insists on voting out Ben - [A] Think Shambo is amazing, would love to trade Shambo for Ben; incredibly negative force around camp - Gets into a confrontation - [B] No one million dollars that is worse than me sitting here with Ben any more - Gets into an extended argument with Ben at Tribal Council over Ben's negative comments towards Yasmin
Liz - UTR2 - Challenge visibility, reaction shots, background role to everyone else on Foa Foa
Mick - CP4 - Talking about voting out Ben if they lose another challenge - Ben instructs him on how to make fire but he doesn't succeed at making fire - [1] Winning tribe got to choose someone & Russell chose Shambo; totally different than Yasmin, we'd like to adopt her - [2] Here to find the Immunity Idol and get information to take back to her tribe - [3] Russell and Liz are adamant about voting Ashley out, but I'm definitely loyal to Jaison - Has a strategic talk with Russell about voting out Ben vs. Ashley - Russell shows him the hidden Immunity Idol to earn his trust
Natalie - MOR2 - A brief conversation with Russell about Betsy's Tribal Council and the next vote - [A] (in between the Jaison/ Ben fight) Leaning back incase fists go flying so she doesn't get hit - Barely earns a MOR this time
Russell H. - CPN5 - Highlighted in the recap for being responsible for being responsible for Betsy's ouster - A brief conversation with Natalie about Betsy's Tribal Council and the next vote - [1] Nobody's playing the game on my tribe except me and it's crazy; this might be the worst group in history & I might be the best - [2] Ben's trying to tell everybody they can't survive without him, which I applaud but that's not how you do it - [3] As long as Ben keeps his crazy antics going, he's getting a target; he's strong in the challenges - Tells Ben that Ashley was trying to get rid of him & they're all gonna vote Ashley - [4] Gonna get rid of every person that tries to get rid of Ben; I need Ben - [5] Plant that seed in their head, it grows, it's called a Russell seed; it takes over their whole mind; makes it easy for me to manipulate every single one of them - [6] How can they not even think it was me [that told Ben about Ashley?] Shocking that these people trust me so much; they're idiots - [7] I'm the boss; I found the Immunity Idol without any clues; running this whole show - Has a strategic talk with Mick about voting out Ben vs. Ashley - [8] Want Mick to trust me and know how important it is for this to work; show him hidden Immunity Idol because it's a powerful tool; my alliance with Mick is solid so that's just another vote for me to get Ashley out - [9] Gotta put a squash on the all-girl thing and take control - [10] I want to keep Ben around but I don't want them not to trust me - [A] Ben said negative things that might have been racial that affected how Jaison thought about him
*** I will definitely consider OTTN this time, but voting out Ben still went through him and he was a major factor in the decision-making process; had Russell voted out Ashley and Ben still went home, I think he would get the OTTN
Galu Tribe
Brett - INV1
Dave - UTR1 - [1] Danger Dave would have taken the function in 0 seconds, but it was Russell's choice, we weren't allowed to make the decision
Erik - UTR1 - Gets treemail with Kelly - [1] Would have sacrificed everything for the tarp; the minute it rains those comfort items are going to be soaked; people think it's Club Med out here; it's not - Almost a P for being sensible, whereas his confessional (combined with Shambo's) almost made me hand out some Ns to the girls
John - UTR1 - [1] After we arrived back, there was a little monologue by Russell; felt obliged to justify his decision; you're still going to be uncomfortable even with a few pillows and beach towels
Kelly - UTR1 - Gets treemail with Erik - Called "unstoppable" during the challenge by Jeff - Some N SPV due to being in the "Club Med" group
Laura - UTR2 - [1] Winning, feeling good, all pitching in at camp, all doing stuff; we don't have to always be in game mode and that's a huge advantage that we have - Strong challenge performance - Possibly an N for leading the yoga scene and getting a lazy portrayal
Monica - UTR1 - [1] Got treemail today which came with nice, comfy sac of clothing which was our swimsuits, it feels awesome - Some N SPV due to being in the "Club Med" group
Russell S. - MORM2 - As leader, gets to decide on Comfort vs. Function for Reward and send Shannon over to Foa Foa's tribe - Describes his decision to the group - [1] Towels? What the hell do we need towels for? Know the guys are going to be all over me, but if I make the women happy, we'll be happy - Borderline CP but I don't think it's enough
*** M because his decision to take the Comfort was questioned, but he was also trying to look out for the women and take care of them, which leans P
Shannon - CPP4 - Highlighted in the recap for not fitting in with the tribe - [1] Are you kidding me? Got four people doing yoga this morning; alienated because I'm not in the 90210 clique; I'm in the provider role; do we have food? Water? No. Screw yoga. - Makes a humorous comment about wearing a jogger bra - Gets sent over to Foa Foa by Russell - [2] Wanted to create interpersonal relationships with everybody, so was tickled pick to head over & check out Foa Foa - [3] Thought the note was the hidden Immunity Idol clue & I was right - [4] Tribe is probably gonna try to vote me out sooner or later anyway, so this clue totally rocks - [5] Taught them a few new tricks they didn't know, trying to be helpful and make new relationships - Positive SPV from Mick, Ashley, Jaison
*** Like Episode 1, I'm seeing this as a close call between CP and OTT
Yasmin - UTR1 - Things are going good at camp, we need comfort; that's the way to go - Lots of SPV at Tribal Council

If a girl wins it's Ashley or Monica - not Liz.
Monica - getting a confessional each episode while 8/10 tribemates have an INV is exactly what you'd expect if an overall MOR player on a non-TC attending tribe won. She's not the leader or involved in any conflicts. Liz - starts MOR2 and is UTR1 tonight, despite her tribe hogging airtime. Even worse, her opening confessional seemed to foreshadow her being a victim of racism. All sensitive about being chosen to do the puzzle, then completely absent from story of racist Ben's boot. Suggesting than Liz and maybe Jaision aren't out of the woods yet. Mick and Jaison - will be top picks of the orthodox edgic by the numbers crowd, but I'm not feeing it. They would be great nice guy underdog alpha males winners if they succeeded, and so would be promoted harder to balance all the negativity on Yellow. Yet they are minor to Russell. Winner I'd still bet that either Evil Russell wins, or some female like Ashley or Monica. Russell is becoming the CPN strategist, rather than the OTTN asshole who just wants to fuck up his tribe. |

He's been doing it in spoilers and now he's dragged his pathetic ass over here for more fun.
