OK, just caught the premiere on hulu (love hulu!). First off let me say that I really love the movie - haven't read the book, but it is on my to be read
list. I liked it. I enjoyed how they mixed up the jobs, hair colors & characteristics of the women from the movie, yet you can still feel something of the
original ladies there. I also loved that they had the cherry vomit woman from the movie. My impression based on her "this has happened before" is
that this is supposed to be a continuation of sorts rather than an exact remake. I also think they chose an excellent person for the Daryl Van Horne role.
Looking forward to more and really really hoping it doesn't get cancelled.

watched this online, and it was so weird seeing Paul Gross as Daryl. He was strange and gravelly-voiced, and all I've ever seen him in is Due South.
Overall, it's just a magical Desperate Housewives/Practical Magic combo rip-off, but it wasn't terrible. |

I know that Rebecca Romijn is the "hot one" but I want Lindsey Price badly

I am really, really like the show, but what is with them changing the ladies' names just for the sake of changing them? They were Alexandra, Jane, and
Sukie in the book... they were Alexandra, Jane, and Sukie in the movie... hell, they're even still Alexandra, Jane, and Sukie in the MUSICAL. Why mess with
it? wtf is with Roxie, Kat, and Joanna?

CBStrifectaHooer wrote:Roxie, Kat and Joanna are not the first 'Witches of Eastwick'. Remember the old photo of Daryl Van Horn (in his previous incarnation) with the 3 women? Those 3 women are the original witches; one of them (played by Cybil Shepherd) has the last name of Rougemont, which was Sukie's last name. |

I did notice that, but they said her name was Eleanor. And apparently Bun is one of the other two. Still not even close. haha

You know, I'm kind of getting annoyed that every show Lindsay Price stars continues to ignore the fact that she's Asian. I mean, come the fuck on.
I'm happy for the girl, but for Christ's sake it's a blessing not a curse.

I like this show but you can tell it will be canceled. Even I wait to watch it on the DVR when I have nothing better to do.

Christy, you have to stop IM-ing me. It's getting pathetic. I'm not reading them at all. Please, have some self-respect and stop with the constant
messaging. Thanks.

I think Lindsay Price is adopted and therefore white-ish.
Watched the second episode. It was decently funny. Paul Gross's character is so weird and nasty, buying drugstore cologne for one girl and silk for the other, that I'm enjoying it. I still don't think it'll last, though. |

According to imdb:
Mother is Korean, Father is German-Irish. They were raised together as brother and sister, as the Price family adopted an orphaned daughter from Korea.
They married when they were old enough.
