Anti, I rewound last night just to see Kevin's hair again. It was so different. He looks almost like a normal person.

There were only three notable comedic moments for me last night: Pam-Ryan at the end, Creed-Meredith, and Oscar during the raise revelation.
This has been a dud of a season so far. Yikes. We know Jim as boss doesn't work, we don't need an arc about it. |

I really enjoyed the episode. Even though it wasn't filled with LOL moments, it served its purpose to begin to develop the dynamics between Jim &
Michael's co-managing styles and both of them beginning to see what the other has to offer. The ending was perfect.
And the preview of the wedding is really getting me excited now and it looks like it is going to be a really touching episode, as well as hilarious. I have been hot & cold with Jim & Pam getting together, but the wedding will likely completely win me over with these two. |

Glad to see I'm not the only one who hasn't really found the season funny so far. They're focusing way more on storyline than humor, and it's
really dragging the show down. Is it really that hard not to have both like they managed to pull off on previous seasons?

I did enjoy that after Kevin saw the beans, every seen had him in the background yelling "will someone explain the beans?!?!"

What does a bean mean? <-- thread title
I did like the episode, but I'd rather like a funny episode than a dramatic one. Hopefully they saved all their comedic talents for the wedding show. |

I always thought The Office thrives on side characters. Lets face it Jim, Pam, Michael. Are not funny. They're just not.
Kelly, Creed, Kevin, Angela, Andy, and Dwight make the show. Please less stupid story, more one liners from the side characters. |

Jim not funny? I completely disagree. I find Jim to be one of the funnier characters on the show. Personally, I would hate to see any of the characters removed
from the show. Each serves their purpose quite well.

I am obviously pathetic.....I am going to have to take a hiatus from this show....
Maybe it is because I am a manager, and this co-manager thing is driving me crazy. I want to hang Jim from the kitchen. Yeah.....pathetic |

You could always consider yourself Senior Co-Manager, right? ...right? I see your point.

I think all the whiners should stop watching the show. Forever and ever and ever.
Please. |

Wait a minute--ok, I'll concede that this was probably the weakest episode of S6 so far. There really should have been a better resolution/payoff to both
storylines. But just when I thought they couldn't top the toilet paper/planets line came Dwight's rant about how nothing would ever get done if the
other workers had founded this country. Stanley Washington taking a nap, Phyllis Hancock taking forever to sign the Declaration of Independence, and Kevin
Jefferson being distracted by butterflies made for possibly my all-time favorite talking head on this show.

There was some great stuff in this ep and it was a key development episode in working out the co-manager dynamic. It worked perfectly for that. It was so nice
to see Michael realize hes got an ally in Jim (and poor Jim worrying he's got no friends in the branch, except MAYBE Pam).
Kevin's constant asking about the beans All their reactions to the raise situation was great and gave everyone a little something. Oscar was such a dick |

What used to be where Jim's new office is located?

Creed/Meredith's desk. I bet they were moved to the back of the office where Toby/Kelly are.

Creed/Meredith/Ryan were spread out along the back wall. I think there are still empty desks there (Devon and the Stamford folks and some of the random
first-season people used to be there). So they just stuffed Creed and Meredith closer together which would explain the random "how come we never..."
line from Creed. They're still in the main office, they just appear to be squished between Jim's office and accounting.

The Creed/Meredith interaction was the best part of the episode. Loved Creed's face when Meredith said 'we did'. He looked genuinely stumped.
Jim's rewind bit was so painfully awkward. I loved it. |
