Erik (solo): *Now, if Ben wasn't blindsided tonight, it's going to be completely dysfunctional, which is kind of right where we like them.* The Galu also think Ben, not Russell H has been running the show, and Yasmin supported that. That 'tonight' blidside was actually for Betsy's boot, but I'd imagine the same applies now. ....without Ben perhaps the F-F are no longer dysfunctional. Plus we know that it's going to rain, and that's bad for GRuss. I'd guess Galu will make their first trip to TC as a tribe any way.

Yasmin is perhaps not the most objective reporter, but if Galu thinks Ben was in charge, probably they would also think the whole FoFo tribe is, more or less, like him? Seems like that would definitely feed into an attitude of moral superiority being responsible for their success so far. But surely Shambo is not going to report the same observation of tribe dynamics? Will that cast doubt on Yasmin, who we already know Monica and Laura have noticed has issues? Or will that make Shambo seem even more out of touch with the core group at Galu? I really wish we could see more of the report from the spy. Seems like there would be a natural flow to start the following episode off with their return to their own tribe.

I'd love to know what Yasmin told her tribe and what Shambo says and, more importantly, how the tribe reacts to the two stories. They do seem to understand Yasmin's, ahem, limitations and so even though Shambo annoys them, maybe they'll put more stock in what she says. She was there for the big Jaison/Ben fight and could see the looks on everyone's face, so I'm guessing she'll be pretty sure of the outcome. Betting we get LOTS more Galu this week. The title of the show says it for me--Galu goes to TC and Sweet Russ may be called out for not taking the tarpaulin etc.

I still don't get all the negativity to John in episode one. Is he really going to be nominated for elimination? It just seems weird that he was shown at the beginning and then nothing happened.

Posts: 899 (10/02/09 1:12 PM) MESS member More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	some random thoughts WHEN A PRIZE FLIES THE COOP -could literally be chickens and someone lets the chickens escape. -could mean that Shambo noticed the empty nail in the tree and knows the HII (the prize) is gone (flown the coop) A HUNGRY TRIBE TURNS AGAINST THE CASTAWAY WHO HOLDS A SECRET TO GAME-CHANGING CLUES - the "castaway" here appears to be Shambo as she (as well as Yasmin) knows about the HII. We see in previews, her sharing this information with Eric and they set out to find the one at their camp. - this "hungry" could very well literally mean hungry if the prize was chickens. If so, does this mean Shambo lets them go? - the way it's written, it seems they're trying to associate being hungry to having the game-changing clues. I think it's more along the lines of shambo letting the chickens go, therefore her tribe turns on her because of it. She just happened to be the person holding the game changing clues. Since that info is going to be pertinent to the episode, they chose to describe her in that way at that particular moment. "Hungry For A Win" - now this "hungry" most likely is figurative, indicating Foa² might win the IC. - or, this win is a RC win, which would make sense if the prize for winning were chickens. After a tribe member makes a stunning revelation, the game of one determined castaway may be changed. - The trube member appears to be Shambo. Who else would have a revelation at this point in the game? - The determined castaway could be Eric. Shambo reveals the twist of the HII, Eric goes on the hunt and gets clotheslined by a vine. Could he be the 2nd medivac? Or is that just a red herring and he actually finds the HII, thus, possibly changing his game? Meanwhile, Russell continues his game of chess when he considers ousting one of his allies - the previews spell that out to be Russell debating outing Jaison. - the word "Meanwhile", to me, suggests that all the previous teaser riddles were to do with the Galu tribe. The problem is, it appears they're all about Shambo. They don't usually devote all the riddles to one person do they? Also another observation from the previews....why was Eric running through the trees? They had that clip in association to Shambo & Eric searching for the HII, but there would be no need for him to be running. However, if you consider the idea that chickens got loose, one could conceivably think he was chasing after them when he gets clotheslined. crosses fingers hoping to see balloon flying chickens

I'm not sure that just revealing that there is an immunity idol would be all that stunning (although the promo monkeys may be more easily stunned than most of us here). From the insider videos, Yasmin came back late night after TC last round and told Erik and Dave that yeah, the note was a clue to an immunity idol, but all it said was that the idol was somewhere in sand, so she didn't have any reasonable chance of finding it. If Shambo comes back and says something like, yeah I got to see the first clue, and all it said was that the idol was somewhere in a tree, that might be a bigger stunner. So not only does determined castaway (Eric?) get Shambo's clues, but he knows Yasmin is a stone liar.

Yasmin and Russell have been shown to be very close...when he gets wind of the rest of the tribe throwing Yasmin's name around as a possible boot, he gets angry and throws that "I'm the leader and they'd better listen to me!" tantrum in the latest promo. And then we get a clip of Erik(?) saying, "I don't wanna get on Russell's bad side..." Perhaps he's contemplating the repercussions of voting out Russell's "African Princess"? At any rate, I think Yasmin's toast.

The CBS fantasy survivor window for selecting episode 4 choices is really messed up. Interestingly, two survivor's pictures are out of line and half the size of the other pictures. The survivors voted out (Marisa, Betsy, & Ben) are not pictured. Only med-evac Mike and then Yasmin's picture are out of line and half-sized. Could it be the "two medically evacuated players" pictures were treated similarly?

Ben has interviewed (at Survivor Fans Podcast) that Ben replaced Russell's idol with a fake one that was found by Shambo (just before Ashley blabbed to her that it was a fake made by Ben -- fucking Ashley). So Galu will know that someone at Foa Foa has already found the idol. And as birdlady says above, some of them will also know that Yasmin lied to them about it.

So, assuming they believe Shambo when she tells them the fake idol story, Galu would have to believe that not only did Yasmin find the idol, but she also managed to form an alliance with Ben (of all people) who then took the trouble to replace the idol Yasmin had found with a fake. Since they'll know that Yasmin lied about the first clue, I suppose her credibility will be suspect. But will Galu credit Yasmin with enough game to get into such an unlikely cross-tribal alliance? After all, they sent her over there in the first place because of her perceived lack of social skills.

"one determined castaway" might even volunteer to take over as chief, thus changing his entire game. Erik seems to be the most likely candidate as he's been shown to react the strongest to Russell's decisions. If 'tarpgate' gets ugly, Russell might very well quit. The preview seems to be focussing on leadership for a reason.
