Liz - UTRP2 - Challenge visibility, reaction shots, background role to everyone else on Foa Foa but she was around enough to earn her a 2, I think *** Thanks to those who answered my question about her; I definitely can see the P intent, and I thought it was too minor to justify me giving her the P, but I just did not feel right about neutral; call it a gut feeling if you want, it just didn't sit well with me Edit's general intent vs specific, individual content: I think the edit intent for the two tribes was very simple and broadly painted: Shambo, one of our two game narrators, (Evil Russ being the other), guides us through why her Galu tribe is a bunch of hopeless, lazy juveniles and Foa Foa is her kinda people: fighters, workers, mature, playing the game. It's a big oversimplification, but that was the message from Shambo's story this episode. So, someone like Liz gets part of Foa Foa's positive spin, while all the Galu Bikini Team got the thumbs down for getting all giggly and hot for pillows and mats. Individually, we can split hairs about who got exactly what tone content and how much, but the overall intent was to paint Foa Foa, in general, as a more mature, gameplaying bunch, while Galu was more interested in playing around. So if we are judging how each tribe was defined this ep, we have to give a general negative to Galu and a general positive to Foa Foa. If we are ignoring that message from the editor's story, then we hand out a lot of neutrals to the UTR players. Personally, I can't ignore the fact that we were told how to judge these two tribes as groups.

Face facts, people will disagree with you. You can have a civilized debate about it, like GF does when people question his ratings or when he wonders why people gave out certain ratings or tones. Just because you've participated in this for a long time and love to use spoilers to pick your winners, does not mean that you have the right to ridicule anyone OO. Same thing for Blake, just because he's been around forever, does not mean he can pick fights with people because of disagreements. Even chapera rocks, who everyone knows we don't get along, has been civilized in his comments about anything I've posted this season. Learn from posters like him and GF, otherwise it's just going to be you and Blake, bickering with each other over which pretty girl does or does not deserve to be eliminated.

I'm not exactly sure what I've done to you to cause this tirade? I think I've been relatively peaceful towards you because your ratings and winner lists haven't been ridiculous (and I've kept in mind that you're new at this and even encouraged you to stick around). For the most part, the people I've "ridiculed" are those that have been around for quite a while: people who should know better (and coincidently are repeating the same mistakes thus creating similar--and amplified--frustration). For the record, my "mock Laura is a contender" post was a joke and not meant to be mean. I've done the mock contender thing a lot: I did it for Stacey in Fiji, Natalie in Micronesia, and Kelly in Gabon. Although there was a bit of a jab towards Monica supporters there, it was mainly light-hearted and fun on my part to find someone completely inviable edgically and pick out things that could be "winnerish". It was me being carefree but apparently I can't even do that! Geez Louise..

RVS, I don't think Blake has the power to drive anyone away from Edgic. Blake, we really don't need anyone to police competency. If you make personal comments about someone's posts, be prepared for them to be defensive and fire back. That said, ILT astro, I suggest not being so sensitive and feeling that you have to defend so much. It's called "rising to the bait" and it just leads to more of the same. Speaking of more of the same. I'd love it if posts were more about this thread and less about each other. I repeat, boring. If anything will drive people away from Edgic, it's people indulging in back and forth and not Edgic. If anyone feels that personal attacks are continuing against them, please pm me about the situation and I'll do my best to rectify the situation. Oh and for spoilers ruining Edgic, that's a charge thrown every season. Big Secret: The players who only pay attention to solid, content-based arguments could care less.
