I'm not really familiar with any of the chefs, except Amanda Freitag, so I'm rooting for her. And anyway, I saw her on Iron Chef America and thought
she was kinda cool. I'll see if my opnion changes as I watch from week to week.

Do they always have to work with such strange ingredients?
Unlaid eggs? Grasshoppers? Durian? I missed the beginning so I haven't gotten a feel for any of them yet. |

Appleman is a douchey asshole. Like Freitag and Garces.
Liked that Freitig took a big ole swig of the beer before starting to cook. What the hell was the thing that looked like a pineapple but apparently stunk to the high heavans? |

Mario Batali can't be gone from Iron Chef!  Get rid of Morimoto since he only wins like 50% of the time.

Yes Chef Mehta seems very good. But I also liked Appleman, Farmerie, and Garces.
Freitag was making a bitch face and Crenn looked like she was ready to kick ass if she got sent home. Anyhow I also was liking the guy who got eliminated for the grass hoppers, I think he would have been a fun contestant. How long until Donnatella and Jeffrey come to blows? |

This is one show where I would not of wanted to be a judge. Mehta was on Iron Chef not too long ago - he went up against Morimoto and it was a very close
score. I'm liking Garces and Appleman so far - this group is a whole lot more serious than when Symon won. And I can't wait for Donnatella to smack

Chef FArmerie would be worth WATCHING for all those weeks. Yet I get the idea that they want LAtin flair for the next IC. They want something VERY different
from what they already have.

He's back. Ick. And CAt Cora is my favorite of all of them. Her style is far more playful and fun than the others, to me. Plus, she is family so I HAVE to
root for her. It's in the contract.

^Ditto. Never saw Symon on this series though, so I didn't know what to expect.
I only recognized Mehta, Freitag (who's also been a semi-regular judge on CHOPPED) and Farmerie, who I think beat one of the IRON CHEFS when he competed. |
