My preferences, as if anyone cares,
1. Red Sox
2. Anybody but the Angels, Phillies, or Cardinals, so that even if the Red Sox don't win, they'll still be the only team with two titles in the current
century.

Belated congrats, SR!
Nothing in the post season will match last night....I expected the Yanks to win tonight. If they didn't, after rest and what the Twins went through, that would look really really bad! |

Yankee's win... I mean the Twins are 3 games back with 4 left to play...no way are they going to pull that out.

I want the Red Sox to win it all but I'll be satisfied as long as it isn't the Yankees or the Phillies.

Twins in five. This is what my gut tells me. The next one goes into extra innings.

The last time the Yankees won, Bill Clinton was president and the World Trade Center still stood.

Umm I'm an Arod apologist, but you can't deny he gets cold in the postseason* How is this being debated?
I still blame him for the 2004 ALCS.

Congrats to the Sillies for finally beating the Rockies in the postseason.

This is a really horrible baseball game. Bad pitching, yet 43 men LOB. LA in 4. After that I'm hoping for the Angels or the Rockies.

That is completely idiotic. I already established that ARod's career postseason OPS is over .850, a VERY respectable number. That figure is higher than Jeter's. That .850 number is somewhat lower than his career figure in the regular season, but almost any hitter would be expected to have a decrease in production because one faces better pitching in the postseason. If you want to make any sort of reasonable argument, it would be that ARod can't handle the pressure of playing in the postseason for New York. THAT would be perfectly defensible, although again, the sample size supporting that argument isn't really that great. |

Yeah, I'm gonna say maybe the cardinals aren't as good as I thought they were.

Ugh. I don't really like any of the teams in the post season this year.
I guess I'll root for the Twins b/c gene is the best OT sports thread poster, but I won't necessarily be happy about it. |

2004 on he's done shit, up until tonight.
The 2004 debacle 2-15 2005 1-14 2006 4-15 2007 (6 ks) As a Yankee...he has been a notorious post season bust (like I said, until tonight). Girardi thanks you AL MVP Texeira. |
