looks like a lock now for a Russ H and Natalie finals showdown. The foreshadowing in this episode confirmed what Id been thinking for awhile.

Wellll, FINALLY!!! Galu makes its' series debut in Ep.4. And with the way they've edited it, we all feel like Shampoo is an old friend at this point.
We've only seen her in what? Four episodes so far? Everybody else seems completely BRAND NEW! YAY!
This is more like it. Like there are people who are actually relatable. The Rootables. And NATALIE! OMG! She could absolutely win this if she's at the end with Russevil. THAT'S why Jeff was more than pimping her out in his last blog. And didn't she look like a winner sitting on that log in a barely visible bikini! Definately, Natalie is Rootable. Lots of the good doctor, Mick. And Jaison. Who seems ready to quit. Maybe the rains do him in. And of course, Liz, shown in jeopardy in the preview will NOT being going home next week. Great to FINALLY see Galu. And Shampoo is definately on the outs with her tribe, as she's been saying since Day One... "If I make the merge, I'm siding with Foa Foa!" Erik found the HII. John is GAWGEOUS. And Brett seemed interesting, but under-seen. Still not much of Laura. Barely invisible Kelly(if that's their names) Russell S. we've also seen a bunch. He seems as nice as Russell H. is evil. But thank god Russevil was barely visible tonight! I was really ready to stop watching and do something else with my Thursday nights! Seriously. He's awfully hard to look at. The adorable factor that other chubby hubby Rupert had is not there in Russevil... But I could stand watching Galu develop. Dave was vivid. He jumps out of the screen at you. And with FooFoo down so much in numbers - Can they EVER turn things around? Well, if they keep winning. But FooFoo & Shampoo are whom we're meant to root for. And we saw what happened with Erynn last season. She was focused on because in the end she was the deciding vote in taking down Timbira. Which Shampoo could do, too. Obviously. And Natalie is marvelous - now that SEEBS has finally let us see her game... And Jeff looks bored out of his ****ing mind. It's like he's not even there tonight at Tribal Council. Emmy notwithstanding... I thought Russevil was going to be the end of the franchise. But tonight was watchable. And many people seemed Rootable. And Dr. Mick...What did they call him? McDreamy? YEAH! We saw A LOT of his P.O.V. He was sort of taking over as the narrator tonight - for FooFoo-instead of hateful Russevil. |

Galu just seems like a casting misfire. There's way, way too many young girls and guys clumping up together on that tribe, and thus its just kind of a
jumbled mess. It would be really nice if they started casting young girls on things other than how good they look in a bikini.

HUMANS RIP wrote: Not so fast, it would not surprise me if it went that way. I am just not sure that I am watching the same show that Orangeena is watching, this episode was a dud. Jeff not showing up for a challenge, which was
totally planned, foreshadows as only Survivor seems to be able to do, that this series is doomed ... it may go down as the Official Jump the Shark moment!

I actually liked the RC without Jeff. It's not something they should do regularly, but it was nice to see them figure it out with both teams working
together and shaking hands at the end. It seemed more like we were seeing the real people there.

That probably brings out how much of the challenge drama is manufactured in editing. It's probably really much closer to a friendly competition most of the
time.
I'm having a hard time believing all of Galu is without interest. Again, the difference from more documentary coverage in earlier seasons, to more storytelling these days. No way all ten of those people have done nothing for a week and a half. At the least, let us look at Samoa (before it gets destroyed by the earthquake). |
