I don't find what Russell does as being anoying, it's the 'It's my way" schtick in his confessionals. CBS leaves that nonesense out and
he's a decent character not some cartoon.
Was he not talking to Liz just before he said it in the promo? |

Russell is starting to sound like a broken record, but this is more a symptom of bad editing than anything else. They have more than a dozen people's worth
of confessionals spanning several days now, which should be plenty of material to draw on to fill an hour each week without this kind of mind-numbing
repetition. But Russell is "good TV," so let's beat the viewer over the head with him... lame.

The new preview shows the tribes walking into the Immunity Challenge, and Shambo is on FoaFoa. So I assume Galu wins reward and sends her to FoaFoa again.

So then the spy this week doesn't go to TC? Wonder if she gets an idol clue..not that it makes a difference. |

erinn was amazing! <33
i wish she would have done something better strategy-wise for herself though. i had always thought that it might have been cool if the women had started a secret alliance (Debbie, Sierra, Taj, Erin) but most of those people had problems with each other so that wouldn't have been possible most probably. plus another woman's alliance might have been boring, though Tocantins as a season was pretty freaking boring itself. erinn is love though. :D |

That we're seeing Galu for a few seconds does make me wonder if they lose again. Then again, if they did, we might have seen more promo mention of
GaluRussell's dumb choice to take blankets over a tarp.

Galu looks to have reward items in that video. A small table, a gas cylinder and a candle(?). GRuss may be trying to light matches.
FatRuss indicates he has to rethink his strategy while it's pouring rain. It was pouring circa IC, so that may very well be post IC. The question is what was his strategy Liz?, Jaison? |

This whole Thin Ice business seems to be something of a red herring to me.
This is a shot of Russell as he makes the threat to Liz:
I notice a couple of things: - It's a dry, sunny day. - Russell's beard is not nearly as full as it is in the other preview snippets from ep. 5. E.g. this: or that:
So it's pretty clear that his threat to Liz was made well before the time frame of episode 5. For all we know, that conversation happened after the last Foa Foa TC with Liz questioning Russell about his changed vote for Ben. Or it could have been about something else entirely. Also the confessional where Russell says the rain is making him change his strategy seems to be from some time earlier. It's raining during the confessional, but again the beard isn't as full:
And I don't think it's all just a matter of lighting. It seems to me that Russell's unbridled virility is playing havoc with the editors' routine of manipulating events. So who knows what he's actually up to next week. If I give the editors the benefit of the doubt and concede they may be trying to tell a semi-accurate story using footage from different times, then I'll take a wild yet spoiler informed guess that the two targets Russell will be shown to be choosing between will be Ashley, whom he's been itching to eject for a while, and Jaison, who's being shown wilting in the rain.

I disagree mainly because the title of the episode fits the Russell's quote in the preview.
Why would they call the episode by a sentence used way before? Just doesn't add up. |

It seems that the "decoy" boot keeps going home the week AFTER they're set up thus far this season. Jaison's never actually been a decoy boot though, all we've seen is Russell annoyed with him. If the pattern holds and Liz is the decoy this episode, then I would expect her to leave at the next Foa Foa TC instead. |

Actually those are red and white candles Galu won with the blankets as Kona pointed out at MESS

Probably arguing that JP pointed to the comfort items that includes the table. And good point Croc, why are they showing Russhole lamenting his inability to stratagize, unless Foa Foa are heading to TC. I still think that because production is Russhole building in their editing, that Liz is at high risk for being ousted, as production is loving to show how in control the Evil Russ is in this game. That is one helluva nasty looking storm coming up next episode, and it rekindles my enthusiasm to watch the show again. |

The way the promo is put together, it sounds to me like Bad Russell is saying that he can't continue his sock burning strategy, because the rain put the
fire out.
