okay show - I liked the Reid/Penelope banter.
story didn't really hold my interest though. I thought Emma would end up being an ex-wife, not an unrequited love. |

Best part of the show was the last scene. I was thinking, "So we're going to have another nut job murderer with a cool nickname floating
around"...

Just started watching this in college. Holy shit this show is dark! Just now on A&E they aired the one where that ginger kid is murdering all those little
kids and tried to off Dakota Fanning's little sis. Reminds me of that movie "Alice, Sweet Alice".

I saw that one too! I saw the little ginger, and I was like, "Oh, he'll grow up to be a murderer...whooops spoke too soon."
Very, very dark show. |

I am currently watching a great series from the UK called Wire In the Blood. It is about a psychologist and female Detective Inspector who investigate serial
killers. It is even darker than Criminal Minds. I would advise people to seek it out on bittorrent or on DVD. They are 85 to 95 minute episodes (commercial
free) and so well written.
from wiki Wire in the Blood is a British crime drama television series produced by Coastal Productions for the ITV network. The series is based on characters created by Val McDermid; a university clinical psychologist, Dr Anthony "Tony" Valentine Hill (Robson Green) is teamed with a tough female Detective Inspector. In the first three series, she is Carol Jordan (Hermione Norris) but is replaced by Detective Inspector Alex Fielding (Simone Lahbib) from series four to six. Only the first two episodes of the first series, "The Mermaids Singing" and "Shadows Rising", the second episode of series four, "Torment", and the second episode of series six, "Falls the Shadow", are based on McDermid's books; the rest are original plots written by others. The series has appeared in America on the cable channel BBC America, in Australia on the public channel ABC, in Belgium on the public channel Canvas, in Estonia on the public channel ETV, in Finland on TV 1, in Sweden on TV4, in France on NT1, in Germany on ZDF, in Latin America on HBO, in Poland on TVP1 and in South-East Asia on the cable channel the Hallmark Channel. The title of the series is taken from one of McDermid's novels, but originated as a line in T. S. Eliot's poem Burnt Norton, one of the Four Quartets. Several other McDermid novels also use phrases from Eliot, including the story used for first episode of the series. Both that and the first episode of the fourth series take their names from The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. ITV cancelled the series in 2009, citing high production costs (up to £750,000 per episode) and the slew of new series being broadcast on the network.[1] An adaptation for U.S. television is being developed by CBS Television Studios and DreamWorks Television. A pilot episode is being written by Ildy Modrovich.[2] Hermione Norris played Ros Myers on Spooks, Simone Lahbib played Helen Stewart on Bad Girls and Robson Green may be one of the best actors, who is virtually unknown in the Americas.

Don't think so. She has written quite a few book series. The Tony Hill series being the best known... and being the inspiration of the Wire in the Blood.
I plan on reading the following three series... McDermid's notable characters are a lesbian journalist, Lindsay Gordon; a private investigator, Kate Brannigan; and a psychologist, Tony Hill, who suffers from sexual dysfunction. Her books mainly fall into three series: Lindsay Gordon, Kate Brannigan, and, beginning in 1997, the Tony Hill and Carol Jordan series, the first entry in which, The Mermaids Singing, won the Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger for Best Crime Novel of the Year. The Hill/Jordan series has been adapted for television under the name Wire in the Blood, starring Robson Green. McDermid considers her work to be Tartan Noir.[1] As well as her novels, McDermid contributes to several British newspapers and often broadcasts on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Scotland.[2] Her novels, in particular the Tony Hill series, are known for their graphic depictions of violence and torture. |

As soon as tonoght's show started, the first thing I thought of was the 3 boys in the Ukraine who went on a rampage of killing random strangers. 21 plus a
fetus.
They filmed it and yes, it is on the internet under the title 3 Guys, 1 Hammer. DO NOT WATCH IT. I have read the description and it is beyond disgusting and horrifying. It is unfathomable. |

I hear ya, Vee.
This is probably one of the darkest shows they have ever done. I have to admit though, I like that CBS is letting them (and Medium) go down this dark path. |

I remember the one where the 3 girls were abducted and they had to choose which one should die.
This show has been going darker and darker - the season finale with Garrett Dillhunt was especially disturbing as well. The season premiere with buddy stabbing Hotch - very disturbing. |
