TJ MUST WIN!!! She hasn't had a bad routine yet, and she's had several standouts. By far the best girl, and probably the best overall. I voted for her
tons tonight as usual :)

I'm hoping for a TJ win as well.
I only caught the first hour, since the PVR only has it as a 1 hour show with DWTS in the second hour, so it didn't tape. I had to set the second hour on timeshift on a BC channel. I thought Mia's routine was beautiful. I don't normally like the shit that Mia comes up with, but that was amazing. Nothing else in the first hour really stood out for me much, it was all good, but nothing knocked my socks off. Eman and Melanie should go. |

Melanie and Eman should be out. I agree that Melissa's choreography has been weak this season. Where was the Cheese Man?- I hope he is doing the group
number.

Jean Marc used to be entertaining, now he just makes everyone damned uncomfortable. Leah seems to be getting more retarded and annoying as well.
The boys got the cool routine yet again. UGH! Gustavo is great sometimes (e.g. Everett's and JR's mambo). The girls' routine was okay, but I kept thinking about 3 witches in the fog in a Shakespearean play. I voted 10x each for TJ, Vincent, and Everett. Conspiracy Theories: Is it just coincidence that Vincent has gotten the pimp spot 2 weeks in a row, starting with the Top 8? And after being saved by the judges 3x before the Top 10? Granted, he has gotten better choreo the closer he's gotten to the Top 10. And he got TJ as a partner again last night. For the most part, the Canadian judges have gushed over everyone this season, no matter the quality of the dancing or choreo. Were they trying not to influence the voting and for what reason? Did they want an accurate estimate of who would sell the most tickets? |

Some of her early routines were not stellar, but she is peaking at the right time. She is definitely most improved. Interesting in the interviews: Kim: Now that you're gone, who do you think will win So You Think You Can Dance Canada?Interesting that both of Cody and Kim picked Mel to win. Although I cant remember where they are all from, they may be friends from Montreal. eta: scratch that, just remembered that Cody ruined many routines for Mel, and Kim was roomies with her.

Jean Marc is an embarrassment.
And I agree about the 3 witches. Definitely what I was reminded of.

I FF Trey and JM as well. They are so heinous.

I think part of the reason TJ is so easy to route for right now is because she exposed most of her weaknesses by having three very difficult ballroom styles
(jive, salsa, and quickstep) the first three weeks, where as almost everyone else was carefully pampered in terms of what style they got. So as more and more
contestants got exposed when they got a style they hadn't done before, it left a bad taste in our mouths. TJ didn't have to worry about that.
TJ winning is really odd to picture. I never would have imagined, or wanted it, based on what we had seen of her, starting from last year's audition... all the way until her house routine this year. And even then, she didn't obtain "front runner" status until last night (or last week). I still want Vincent to win, but I think she will take it, and that makes me happy since she is my second favorite right now. But she just seems so random as a winner, like a "who'da thunk it?" type. She would be the most random winner who got pre-top 20 exposure. |

When you think about the top 20 though, there were no real stand-outs. Some solid dancers, but there was no Janette or Brandon. Once the tween bait went, it
became anyone's game. Any one of TJ, Everett, Vincent or JR would be a good winner. There will be no robbery this season.

It depends who votes and when they vote. I wasn't moved to vote until Austin got eliminated before Cody. THEN IT WAS PERSONAL!
It was difficult for me to distinguish between dancers in the Top 20 clusterf**k; it became easier the more we saw of them and the fewer of them there were to see. It's more difficult again now that it's Top 4 because they all have strengths and weaknesses. It's really subjective as to which qualities you choose to value over others and why. I wonder how they choose the order the couples dance/are shown. The pimp spot could also be the first ones to dance. Subtle manipulation, no comments required. |

Yes! I knew KKKanada would come through!
I heard the results before I saw the show, so I was looking forward to it, but that results show was disappointing. Tre did not redeem herself at all from last year's awful top 6 group routine, and all the solos were forgettable. I mean, the counter was down to 10 by the time Everett stopped putting his shoes on! Melanies solo problem (aside from her dancing weaknesses) is that she has done 8 of them already (almost the highest number of solos in the shows history), so she really stopped showing us anything new a few weeks ago. But then the results came, and all was well. Yes, Melanie making top 4 would not have been the end of the world, but it's better this way. She had a great exit, anyway, and she'll be fine in the dance world, and at least she finally did a decent leap.

Heliox wrote:lol, I guess I had that coming. I did back Allie last season though, and she's very brunette. The thing with TJ is though, some of her early routines weren't stellar but they were consistent. I can't think of one routine she did that was atrocious, and up til a couple of weeks ago she never had anything even remotely close to her style. Compare that to the bad-- Jayme Rae and Melanie for instance have had some great routines, but also a few pretty damn bad ones in other styles. And even the good-- Vincent has mostly done well at everything, but even he had a couple crappy routines too.

Considering this isn't the greatest season ever, we got a good top 4. I'm impressed that Canada got it right, especially with the guys. I'm
still thrilled a week later that Cody is not in the top 4. |

littltimmy wrote: Agreeance except for the part about Melanie. Natalli would have shown us 8 different solos, any one of which would have blown the doors off of Melanie's best solo. I'm surprised that Jean Marc hasn't said "The beauty is a beast" and taken credit for putting a Gardner with a Desjardins. Yes, it was a weak season. Did TPTB choose a bad Top 20 or will Season 3 be ghastly because there aren't enough decent dancers here?

Remington Steele wrote:Funny you mention Natalli; part of the reason I didn't want Melanie to make the finals (other than I legitimately thought she was the weakest female left) is because if she stayed, she would have tied, or even surpassed (depending on whether or not they did a solo on the live finale) Natalli for most solos ever done on the show (she did 9). The reason Melanie doing so many solos got so old was because she was so one note, where as Natalli always switched things up. It's still Melanie's fault that her solos have gotten so uninspired, but if she had been more popular, maybe her current solos would not have seemed so stale. But I am happy that Canada made the best top 4 they could with this top 20. |

The final four is mediocre at best, but I can't complain since I tuned out during week three.
Vincent for the win! |

I actually felt sorry for Emmanuel even though I was glad he was out. He just looked so sad. But we have the correct top 4 and I really hope Cheese Man is
involved next week.
Now if only we could vote out two of the judges. |
