I would love a Second Chance one. There are definitely pre-merge Survivors that were very entertaining but just didn't get along with their tribe (Ashley,
Ghandia), got screwed by a twist (Silas, Gina, Hunter, Wanda), or just fell on the wrong side of a bigger alliance (Misty, Tracy, Tina W.). I think they could
possibly get a very entertaining cast.

I can just see the preview at the S20 reunion show: If they made it far enough people like Peter and Nicole could be pretty memorable. Peter probably would have been one of the stars of Marquesas had he survived beyond the first few eps. Could have been the male version of Kathy. |

Hunter was voted out the episode before the switch, and Gina would have been next to go if their wasnt a switch, so It was actually good for Gina. If only
Kathy-Neleh-Pappy-Gina would have won the last tribal immunity.

Hunter was booted before the switch, and it spared Gina an extra round over Sarah. Although I wouldn't say that the twist really benefited her by any
means. Either way, I would imagine that both of them are locks, since apparently they were approached about S20, and Probst singled Gina out as the person he
most wanted to see last longer.
Anyway, I would love to see it happen, although I'd rather not have two returning player seasons back-to-back. But S22? Bring it on. Depending on who they cast (Skupin, Silas and Zbacnik, please!) I would probably anticipate this more than S20. Think about it--for most viewers, it's a bunch of random people with one or two they may vaguely remember. I don't think the concept would win over new/past viewers, but it wouldn't keep anyone who was already planning to tune in from doing so. For hardcore fans, we'll go into the season with at least some investment already but really have no clue on how to expect it to play out. Sounds good to me. |
