that said, they will likely do this sometime. they've had too many people they've cast with cool or intrguing personalities etc. who got voted out way early.

This works for 2nd chance season: instead of a family visit, they will get a visit from the person who caused their ouster or the person they despised.

This wouldn't drum up enough interest.
However, a winner's edition wouldn't work due to the gender imbalance, boring winners, and many people who wouldn't go back. That's why I think this could work if they did second chance vs. winners. 5 males means you could trim the fat; Ethan has cancer, Brian is unpopular with SEG, Tom may not do it again after VvH, Aras and Earl are boring, Todd is a gamebot, and JT is played out. 5 females means you could get around Danni not wanting to do it again. |

If they actually do this concept then they might actually have to invite Parvati back for a 4th time. |

2nd chance season will work if its gonna be treated like a regular season and if its going to be on anew location. There are so many premerge boots who makes
better television than those who makes it the final 4.

A second chance season would work if you get the right contestants...
Sonja-Wasn't very interesting but you need the first ever contestant voted off Michael-No one deserves a second chance more than him. Was considered for ASS Ghandia-entertaning Paloma-every returning contestant season has a wtf person and it's always a pretty girl Ace-good villain and was considered for HvV S16 Joel-of the fans who went premerge he is most worthy of coming back Mad Dog-likable, one of the most popular contestants ever who didnt make the merge Sydney-has potential if she doesn't fully rely on others and is hot Aaron-tribal switch screwed him over Cao Boi-can cause tension S12 Tina-got voted out for being too strong and wasn't at best state of mind the first time Wanda-of the two in Palau who didn't get to play she was annoying but at least visible Brook-huge fan Robb-interesting b/c he is kinda unpredictable Sylvia-only non juror from Fiji who might be cosidered worthy Brianni-actually don't know why Ben-would be the villain Janet-got screwed and unlike Kel she probably smuggled nothing Lindsey-one of the few good looking women who had a brain Ryan S-not that worthy but need a Pearl Islands rep That would be my cast. |

A few musts for males that are PRE ASS should be:
Andrew Savage: Leader and fairly good character... played the game (drawback: some may think of him as boring) Michael Skupin: How can you not have a 2nd chance without him? Silas Gaither: The first person who got screwed by a twist... played the game (drawback: annoying) but he's a good character Hunter Ellis: Another leader and he was a pretty big character when re-watching Marquesas... it'd be interesting to see him play Robb Zbacnik: Huge character in a shitty season.. he'll bring entertainment and it'll be interesting to see how different he after all these years... ---- I view 2nd chance players more differently than others... just as I see All Stars differently. My definition of an all star is that they MUST at least make the jury. Anyone that doesn't make the jury is not an All Star... so Shii Ann, Rob M, etc should have been 2nd chancers and not all stars. 2nd Chance players I view as someone who was a big character and were actually known (not invisible) during there season. They atleast tried to play somewhat strategically and aren't brought back for no reason at all... I think all 5 people I mentioned above were pretty big characters that just got screwed in there season...A few of them got very far and went right at the merge... Anyways that would be my male pre ASS list. |

They at least tried to play somewhat strategically and aren't brought back for no reason at all...2nd chancers aren't that memorable, so they should be cast more on their potential to be entertaining and play hard the 2nd time. It's liking casting making proper use of wasted talent. With early boots, some excellent contestants (Brooke S11) never got to be significant characters because they were on winning tribes, then got screwed in a twist. And some "big characters" just have no aptitude for the game of Survivor (don't want to see S19 Ben again). |

If TPTB think Returning Player seasons like S16 and S20 are big successes, we'll see more of them.
The logical next move is to tape the wasted potential of premerge boots. I bet we.ll see a 2nd chance edition before an all-winners one. The rational for the latter was that winners would inevitably be targted in ASS, but if 2 winners make the finals again in S20, why bother? S20 already has 14 players who've made F3 + millionaire Rupert. I like 10 second chancers vs 10 regular contestants. |

hey there's a chance it could happen... I mean who would have ever thought of a Fans Vs Fav version before that happened... people joked all the time about 3rd chancers and how a person will never play 3 times but seems like that happened as well... I once thought we'd never have someone do 3 seasons, but mostly because I thought the show wouldn't last long enough for it. Bottom line, CBS, like any station wants to draw in viewers. If having Stepehenie and Rupert on the show 14 times pulls in viewers, then they'll have them on the show 14 times. As long as it's marketable and it works, they don't care. Having a season of nobodies that the average viewers never gave a fuck about and wiped them all clean from their minds? NOT a good marketing idea, not the fucking least bit appealing for CBS. I can understand nerdy Survivor freaks wanking off to that idea, but I'm baffled by some rational people here thinking CBS would even consider doing this. ESPECIALLY now that they're having a 3rd All-Stars installement. |
