Thoughts during the episode (my informal edgicing)
-Recap highlighted how evil Russel was (again, very OTT repetitive) and Shambo being isolated, highlighted her vote for Monica and her being close to the yellow tribe. Seriously, how many times do they have to say she's close to the yellow tribe, I'm beginning to wonder if she even makes it to a swap/merge from how much they keep on repeating that -Monica says she wants Shambo out, ok, at least they showed her comment on getting a vote, good for her. -Shambo is REALLY out in the open about not feeling like a part of her old tribe with her complaining to Russel about him sending her over to the yellow tribe again to miss out on the reward -Russel looked like he was threatening Liz rather then the other way around when she accused him of having the HII -Shambo shared the HII clue with the tribe, that's somewhat surprising. Then again maybe not since it stirred up some trouble. -May have been some P intent at the end of the IC with the purple tribe person who was heard saying "this girl is insane" when Liz was still holding on. -Ashley has been highlighted doing horribly in BOTH challenges this episode, first the RC (where they couldn't really avoid it), then in the IC (where Jeff was heard saying "Ashley hasn't scored a single shot yet", and I don't recall him ever saying "Ashley scores" later on either), N intent, she's going home I think -Wow, never has there been a postIC like this, stuck in the shelter, not able to strategize. I guess based on the lack of footage of the tribe standing in the rain individually to do their confessionals that they brought them to somewhere it wasn't raining (like somewhere at TC) to do their confessionals on who to vote out. |

The most interesting thing to me was Liz not getting a confessional after Russell lambasted her. Editors are trying to weave a "russell in control"
storyline... the only opposition thus far is Natalie. As much as I like Liz, I think her lack of confessional-enforced reaction clearly showed how she will not
outlast him.

Anyone else think Monica got a vengeful/nasty edit? The three girls (Laura, Kelly, Monica) bitching about Shambo at the campfire at the start, followed by
Monica saying she wants Shambo out, and then they give Monica the comment on why Shambo got no love (really not needed to show that, made Monica look
particularly cruel and Shambo look even more alienated). I think Monica was N and Shambo was P.
In regards to tone, I saw a lot of it this episode. I think Ashley was M, Natalie was P, Liz was P, Dave was P, Russell S was N maybe? Russell H was obviously PP.. |

Also. Again Natalie's scene with Ashley, why show it if Ashley and Natalie's relationship didnt become significant.
There is something up with Natalie, but I refuse to put her on my contenders list. |

Nice to see Probst telegraph the boot again by singling out poor Ashley at the IC. I wish he wouldn't do that. |

Well there goes my winner pick (other than Mick). I'm really sad to see her go.
I agree with who ever said there was lots of tone this week. I definitely think Liz was P, Ashley was M or P, Shambo was P, Russel S was N, Russhole was neutral in my opinion. I could see Monica getting a N and Dave and Natalie getting P's. I'm glad they're showing a girl other than Shambo's strategy, hopefully this means Nat does well. |
