Fiji wasn't great, but it was still better than Borneo, Australian Outback, Marquesas, Thailand, Vanuatu, Palau and Tocantins FTW!
Thailand had GrindGate, Shii-Devil, Robb choking Clay, the PennyRamsey hate club, and one of the funniest posters ever got his/her name from this season-squashthebeef.
Jerri Manthey is hands down in the top ten characters of Survivor. Sucks back in those days was great. This season provided a classic spec thread: The dog that didn't bark. The board was coming into its own by this time and there were notorious posters to correspond with notorious Survivors.
Vanuatu had sisters doing it for themselves until they let Chris worm his way into the group. Eliza, Ami and Twila <3. Girl Power rocks, however does anyone remember Brady shimmying up that pole? I do. Oh and I loved loved Royry.
Sue Hawk gave us one of the best moments of TV period with her rats &snakes speech. Colleen is surely the best sweetheart ever and Greg Buis was crazysexycool. Hatch, Gretchen, Gervase, Rudy, Sue and BB were all kickass typecasts that would be hard to fill in future installments. Kelly geeting beat by Gervase was one of the funniest moments of Survivor in all 19 seasons. The board was in its inception stage but the buzz was fun to read. Oh and Jenna sucked.
Palau- Finish them off admonition by Willard was both cryptic and funny. Altho I hated Tom with a passion, he totally rocked in everything he did except blackmail Ian in the F3. Ian was cute and funny and witty. Katy got an unfair bashing. And we had BobbyJon <3, Beautiful Ibe as well as the Steph Hate. We had some funny threads- the James and the sandbag chops in particular.
Tocantins-yeah that was a fucking dog with fleas. Notable exception was when Coach was giving the tribe his narrative about his times in South America, we got one of the biggest laughs in a long time from Survivor, not since Tom got clocked from that puzzle piece in ASS.
