I was disappointed that there was no manatee appearance, but great stuff otherwise.

Ok, I forced myself to read it, although it's annoying that I don't even know who is who.
That Tom character is such a dumbass. Look at him making a final 2 alliance right off the bat. Kelly and Ramona seem like a really fun pair. ^_^ |

Really good job on the first episode. Definitely must have taken a lot of hard work. It's interesting to see how certain events/characters are being
represented already. I like that editing side of things.

Dictatorship wrote:To be fair Silas kind of initiated the alliance, not Tom... We were the two most active right off the bat so it kind of just naturally seemed right... I won't make any spoiling comments of course though :P |

But Kim initiated the alliance with Silas, and it makes it look like Silas went to Kim also.

Survivaholic wrote:Silly Survivaholic, why should the truth get in the way of an opinion? Dictatorship's logic is very sound, and it's that if you're part of making that alliance it's okay, but if I'm part of making that alliance it's dumbass. How can you argue with such airtight thinking? |

Jeff Probst's Blog - Episode 1 Credit to Mikester for this idea. Let's see what I can come up with. If you're reading this fanfic, then you're one of two types of readers - one who knows what happened and who won, or one who has no idea how it played out. Surely most readers are part of former, but I've seen a couple names that might be part of the latter. To all who are reading, thank you, and enjoy the rest of the episodes. As for the first few days of Belize, I loved them. The cast was a very active one and both tribes had very complex dynamics early on, some of which you can see even in this first episode. Obviously the focus on Otoxha were two pairs of people: Tom and Silas, and the other being Ramona and Kelly. Tom and Silas were by far the most active Otoxha members on the first day, and as the fanfic reveals, they made their alliance instantly. I knew going into it that both were very good players and quite shrewd at the game. They go together very well, but as it's been revealed, Tom is already wary of Silas. It's kind of like "keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer." We'll see what happens with this pair, because no matter what happens, when two power players like these team up, the game gets really interesting. Ramona and Kelly are known as the outsiders of their tribe. How far on the outs are they? Had Otoxha lost the first immunity challenge, one of them would have surely been voted out. They are both scrappers though, and I mean that in a good way. They don't give up. The only fear is that they're a little too far behind the bigger, more active players on Otoxha, even this early on. Otherwise, there are two people playing a pure social game without trying to get into anything too deep yet: Gretchen and Jeff. They weren't showcased too much here, but I assure you, plenty of good things are to come from them. If you don't know where they stand right now, you're not alone - I didn't either at this point. We got to know several Bomba players in this episode. Elisabeth was seriously on her way out of the game by the morning of the second day, but damn does she have a good social game. She really saved herself, with some help from Susan. The dominating Bomba alliance is Michael, Rodger, Teresa, and Tina. They came together pretty quickly, and only time will tell if Tina taking the idol puts a damper on their bond as a group. Speaking of which, Tina literally took that idol within minutes of the twist being revealed to the cast. She had the idol image posted in her confessional so quick, I was wondering if she understood the rules! But she knew what she was getting into, and the reasons she gave in the episode were the reasons I got in the game. As I said earlier, dialogue and confessionals were taken verbatim from the Belize board. The only player to publicly talk about the idol, really, was Greg. He told Bomba that they had his permission to take it, which was pretty funny and very interesting. As for Otoxha, I'm not even sure if Kelly or Ramona considered nabbing it. I don't remember such a thing, but then again I'm sure there are PMs I missed here and there. Needless to say, Otoxha really was psyched when it was revealed that none of them took it, and better yet, someone from Bomba did. Brandon was our first casualty, which was surprising to me at the time because he was pretty active. He relied very heavily on his schtick and I think it got in the way of him forming solid bonds with his tribe members. I don't think he formed any sort of alliance that I can remember seeing. He chatted, but that was it. He was an easy first target because no one really supported him, and he never gave them a reason to. More Belize action is coming at you in a few days with Episode 2. It's a good one, and in my opinion is more interesting than the premiere. All I'll say for now is this: gotta love the power players. With so many of them in Belize, things get exciting very quickly. Thanks for reading my little "blog" here. - Jeff
