So if the Korean guy is in cahoots with the evil-doers, here's maybe how it goes.

1. He lied about his fastforward, and he actually gets married on the beach in Hawaii, but the rest of the world thinks he's dead (while we're led to believe that his wife didn't see him clearly in her fast forward, and therefore she simply assumed he was there when if fact he is dead)

2. He knows the hot terrorist, and their interaction in the interrogation room was all a ploy to keep the story going (it would also explain why the terrorist was willing to give out any information at all) - i.e., it added authenticity to his story.

3. The woman calling him about his death was either: a) someone who read a doctored report of his death and it was shear coincidence that she saw his posting on Mosaic and called him; or b) she is part of the conspiracy and calls him just so there's a phone record of the call (even if they can never trace it back definitely to a particular phone or location)

This will all be revealed to us in a shocking montage when the head guy realises it all.

Oh, maybe that's the big reveal. We're slowly led to believe that Demetri is involved when in fact it's been his wife all along. Now I can definitely see that happening.

This is why it makes sense that he's killed before the end of the season. The network didn't want to commit long-term to an actor who's most recognisable roles are in American Pie and Harold and Kumar go to Whitecastle. And I predict he will be killed by his fiancee.
