I am definitely not Jon. I just disagree with how the media and now TLC is treating him. Obviously if I'm TLC, I don't want him saying anything because it will damage the network. But it's not fair that Kate is given free reign to do media tours slandering Jon and Jon simply tries to book an appearance to defend himself and explain his actions, but is denied by TLC.

I understand that both of them are terrible people, but as parents I think Jon edges out Kate because he seems to actually ENJOY spending time with his children. Kate seems forced and only seems to do things with them when it spends tons of TLC cash or showcases her now as a struggling single mother.

I think though if he was more of a camera whore and plotted his every move for the cameras like Kate does, he'd be more comfortable in front of the camera and might not put his foot in his mouth every two seconds. He barely spoke on the couch when it was him and Kate and still didn't seem to speak much when it was just him.

Jon was given free reign until about a month ago. Before that he was free to go around screwing whoever he wanted, and showing up at what ever he wanted. TLC got shitty with him after he hired his new attorney and started to try to "Show Them". Jon is way too stupid to take on any one.

Jon has stated on the show that he is happy when his time is up with the kids so he can go back to New York, and get things done. I am not sure why people think that he is more comfortable with the children. If they were his priority he wouldn't have gotten an apartment over two hours away - that only has one bedroom.

As far as Jon not being comfortable in front of the camera, perhaps he should say "NO COMMENT" when he is approached and saying no to interviews on TV. He would/could have been seen as the good guy, but his actions and what his has in his own words have been his downfall.

I actually hope TLC does sue him. He had no problem taking their money and spending it. If you sell your soul, there comes a time for payment. I do wonder if they will wait to sue after the divorce is final? If they sue him now - I would imagine they will take everything - but after the divorce they would only have to take Jon's 1/2.

I agree with Rob. The media has picked their villain and no matter how the story goes, he's the one that must be beat down. He dared to take on the network, which to all these showbiz shows is tantamount to heresy. Kate is the mother so they ignore everything she does. Just him.

I disagree. Jon's actions and words have made him the "bad guy". If could have just shut up until the divorce was final. He could have quit the show then, and without his antics to fuel the stories in the tabloids - hardly anyone would have paid attention to this whole thing. He was seen as the good guy for the most part on the show. If he would have taken the high road - he would have pretty much stayed there. He would have been the good parent in the public's eyes. The networks would have not touched him - if he said he wanted to quit for the kids. BUT after his actions, he sounds like such a hypocrite saying he would do anything for the children.

He didn't take on the network until a month ago. So for the blame to go on TLC is bullshit. He is the one that went on shows and ran his mouth about things. He hasn't had any problem living the high live off the earnings they made. Both he and Kate have been selfish. Not that I think the kids have went without material things. Both when the organizers came, and when they had their garage sale - there was more than enough "stuff". I don't think the kids are #1 priority to either parent, unless it is something that the parent's can make a buck off of.

Mothers do not get a pass. Most divorced mothers nowadays have split custody with the ex, and generally the ex decides they only want visitation once they get a new wife or girlfriend. Then they rarely pay child support, or bother to visit.

I will agree with Worsty - Mady's book should be quit interesting - not to mention her teenage hi-jinx.

I don't think that Kate is all that - but she has definitely been smarter since the separation.

Sorry, but it's not right to allow Kate to go on multiple appearances bashing Jon and not to allow Jon to defend himself.

And he wouldn't have been such a disaster if they gave him some support and helped to guide him through the process.

But TLC decided they were going to make this a story about a wronged woman instead of a story about a marriage breaking up because of incompatibility (which is what happened)

Unless you are living in a commune or in kindergarten - life is not fair. I don't know why it is up to TLC to guide Jon. He is a 30something year old man. He wouldn't have listened anyway. Again, TLC didn't say anything about Jon's earlier antics - until he kicked them off his lawn. He struck out, and they struck back. My guess - they will win. Fair or not. He did sign the contract with them. It isn't their fault if he didn't read it, or was too dumb to understand it.

I don't think initially TLC knew how they were going to spin this. I know in the beginning I expected Kate to go batshit crazy, and not play martyred woman. I won't have expected Jon to try to become the swinging single dad. I think TLC evaluated the roles, and chose the more cooperative one and the one they could spin - which happened to be Kate. When they first split - a lot of the media attacked Kate and most likely would have continued if Jon wouldn't have made himself such a target.

So I wonder if Kate provided the arbitrator with her accounting of how the $55k was spent. It was due on Friday, but the TLC tabloids decided to keep the focus away from that question via the lawsuit and more Nanny Stephanie accusations. No media bias there!

I didn't know it was due, but perhaps she turned it in. Making the story too boring to cover. Or they didn't get any details, so they are waiting until they are released to see how much $$$$$$ was spent on tacky cloths and spa treatments for Kate.
