ANYWAY, the point is at the showing the overly-bubbly lady was trying to explain the way the apartment heats. There are huge pipes (visible) at the tops of the ceiling and they have coils. They fill with hot water and then air-blown circulation supposedly blows the heat throughout the apartment.
I'm TRYING to Google/Wiki hot water coil heating systems and average costs, or, just to find out more about how it works in general. But since it uses such common words, and I don't really know the proper name for the type of heating...I get a million useless results.
Anyone have experience with this type of heating before? Any idea how much it would run someone for about a 900 sq ft apartment? When I asked the lady she said she wouldn't really know and I'd have to ask the manager of the properties. And of course he doesn't work weekends.
