It seems to me that Chef Trevino completely failed to perform the assigned task and they let him slide, anyway. The chefs were tasked with taking Asian
ingredients and flavors and presenting them in an American manner. He took AMERICAN ingredients and flavors (meatloaf) and presented it in an Asian manner - in
a dumpling. That is the exact opposite of what he was supposed to do!
I also think it was BS that Crenn was in the bottom two. They said that all of her items tasted delicious, but the whole thing was too all over the place. Delicious items, even if they don't all work together, should beat foul food (did you see their faces when they ate Mehta's curry?!), even if there is a more focused idea...
And Farmerie was getting on my nerves, acting like it was such a fluke that this one dish sent him home. Did he forget being on the chopping block and barely squeaking by just last week?!
