Having a season of nobodies that the average viewers never gave a fuck about and wiped them all clean from their minds? NOT a good marketing idea, not the fucking least bit appealing for CBS. Borneo, Outback, Africa, Marquesas, Thailand, Amazon, Pearl Islands, Vanuatu, Palau, Panama, Cook Islands, Fiji, China, Gabon, Tocantins and Samoa beg to differ. |

You guys don't get it. They have to market a season, moreso when it's a retread season. They would need a hook. Call me irrational but CBS promos
showing the long anticipated return of Jed and Nicole Delma doesn't have such a nice ring to it. I could see the audience at the final going
"WTF?" after Probst shows the preview. James and Amanda are definitely overplayed, you won't catch me arguing with you there, but the public
knows them and mostly loves them, they are recognizable, thus it draws viewers in. You may not like it, but that's just how it is. Like I said in my last
post, CBS would rather have James and Amanda on 14 seasons than have a season of irrelevant castaways that the public has zero interest in seing again.
And they're having a 10th year anniversary special edition grouping all the biggest Survivor characters as we speak. You REALLY expect them to follow that up with "You've seen the biggest and the best duke it out!!! Now prepare yourselves for an even more epic battlle of the worst of the worst that nobody remembers!"?? If you like the idea, fine make a fanfic of it, but watching you guys actually thinking it might happen is like watching a kid who's about to turn 12 and still believes in Santa. I'm convinced those of you who think this would be legit idea were burned when one of your pre-show faves bit the dust early and you're in denial that they blew their one and only chance and this is your way of coping. The fact that we're having a serious discussion about this is just mind-fucking-boggling. |

I can see it now... Survivor 21 will be a Second Chance season... and will be filmed on location somewhere in India... with a "reincarnation"
theme.

Second chance season is the worst of both worlds:
1 - You don't have the fun of getting to know a new group of castaways. We know these people already. They sucked the first time around. That's why they lost. 2 - These people don't have the popularity or appeal of true All-Star returning players. Nobody gives a shit about Nicole Delma. Not even friends of Nicole Delma. Sorry, but it's true. It's a dumb idea and it will never happen. They'll keep doing regular All-Star editions before they ever do a "Second Chance" edition. |

I know you're automatically opposed to anything that makes sense WylDawg, but seriously what the hell is so hard to understand about this? A Second Chance season has an incredible hook, even the name itself is awesome. America loves a good underdog story and virtually every person on Second Chance would be an underdog. I just can't see people deciding not to watch and reacting as negatively as you think they will to this. People said the same thing about FVF. If anything they'll be intrigued to see how a season filled with misfits plays out. |

wouldn't be the main draws. You're in denial if you seriously think that all early boots are boring and unmemorable.
There shouldn't be any more ASS seasons then either according to your logic, since I can't imagine anyone getting excited over the epic return of Amber and Danielle. |

Second boot ideas work better for Big Brother, since we have 24/7 access to these people for 2-3 weeks while we only have about about twenty minutes of footage
from the Survivor early boots. People like Laura & Casey are much more memorable than people like Marissa & Yasmin.

There are a good deal of big characters that they could bring back that were eliminated before the merger or did not make jury that could make for a good
season - Kimmi, Mike Skupin, Silas, Lindsay, Peter, Hunter, Gina, Robb Z, Ghandia, Mia, Wanda, Jolanda, James Miller, Amy, Brian C., Tina S, Bobby, Billy, Cao
Boi, Anthony, Chicken, Dave C. Ashley M., Mikey, Joel, Ace, Candace, Marisa and Ben. They could just chose 16 to 20 from this list and the cast would be
better than any regular season with first time contestants to date.

You're telling me that I shouldn't be bringing up people like Jed and Nicole, but an All-Stars season usually has quite a lot of contestants on it. They'll soon realize they're running out of people to choose from and guess what, Jed and Nicole just might be on. |

Mike Skupin is the only player with a special story that possibly merits a return appearance. But CBS would have brought him back by now if they really wanted
to.
Although the way things are shaping up lately they could probably do an entire season just with medivaced players: Survivor: First Aid Edition |
