'Big Bro' star busted for oxycodone
Deal goes bad in N. Reading mall

A reality TV star who connived his way through a house of hidden cameras to win the $500,000 grand prize last year on CBS' "Big Brother" has been busted at a North Reading strip mall for dealing oxycodone - done in by a government witness secretly recording their rendezvous.

Allegedly fancying himself some sort of drug kingpin, Adam Jasinski, 31, of Delray Beach, Fla., told U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Todd Prough that for the past several months he had used the half-million dollars to bankroll "obtaining thousands of pills of oxycodone" he resold "to customers all along the East Coast," according to an affidavit Prough filed yesterday in U.S. District Court in Boston.

Oxycodone is an ingredient in OxyContin as well as other medications.

Arrested Saturday, Jasinski is in custody pending a detention hearing Thursday afternoon before Magistrate Judge Leo T. Sorokin.

Neither Jasinski's court-appointed attorney nor his parents in New Jersey could be reached for comment last night.

The fallen star had been a public relations manager for the United Autism Foundation, but was fired before winning season nine of "Big Brother" after calling the children he worked for "retards" on the show.

He later vowed on the air to give the foundation $100,000 of his earnings, but it was unclear last night if he'd followed through.

According to a CBS bio, Jasinksi has a master's degree in fashion design and has studied in Italy.

"Big Brother" pits a motley crew of back-stabbing roommates against each other over a three-month period. Each week, one guest is shown the door.

Prough states in his affidavit that the unnamed witness spoke with Jasinski by phone on Oct. 8 about purchasing 2,000 oxycodone pills. Jasinski agreed to fly to Boston Saturday.

The witness, who was wearing a wire, picked him up at Logan International Airport and drove him to North Reading, where Jasinski allegedly pulled a white sock from his pants stuffed with "small blue pills" believed to be oxycodone, Prough reported.

Some pills, Prough said, were marked with a "30" on one side and an "M" on the other, while others had a "215" on one side and an "A" on the other.

Agents swooped in and arrested Jasinski, who Prough alleged initially refused to surrender to verbal commands, then put up a struggle.

If convicted, he faces up to 20 years behind bars and a $1 million fine.
