omh there actually was some dramz with mine it was a family TRAGEDY. His son killed himself like 9 years ago on prom night and everyone was like OMGWTF and
then later it turned out that he was on an experimental acne drug (...lol?) and that other teens who were also on it killed themselves but I mean I think
acne-prone teens are more likely to kill themselves anyway so w/e

I returned home to Atlanta yesterday and have seen many advertisements and signs for next Tuesday's exciting mayoral election. Sadly we have to say goodbye to G.oddess Shirley Franklin  
 
And these are the three frontrunners to take her place! 
The one in the middle is the one I'm making this post for. Her name is Mary Norwood and she's the leading frontrunner. If she wins, she'd become the city's first white mayor since the 60s. Truly the city's own version of Obama. ^_^ The only problem is she has to get over 50% to win straight up. If she doesn't, then she'll face off in a head to head runoff against whichever of the black people comes in second, which will be harder to overcome.
BUT STAY STRONG AND MAKE HISTORY MARY!!!!!!!!!!!! WHITE PEOPLE EVERYWHERE BELIEVE IN YOU!!!!!!!!!

7. Cheryle Robinson-Jackson (D-IL)
Running for: Senate 
Cheryle is running for Barack Obama's old seat, but more importantly, Roland Burris's current seat. She apparently worked for Rod Blagojegod, America's best living former governor and future winner of the Celebrity Apprentice 3, so she must be goddessly as well. She's another longshot though. Her main competition in the Democratic primary is this douchey looking guy: 
He has the *ILLINOIS MACHINE* behind him and he's Obama's basketball buddy ;_; 
Cheryle will need a huge percentage of ~*THE BLACK VOTE*~ to win. Hopefully Jesse Jackson can help her convince them to betray their papa bear. 
6. Carly Fiorina (R-CA) Running for: Senate 
Carly was the high profile CEO of Hewlett Packard before she was forced by the board of directors to resign (fired) after orchestrating its merger with Compaq. She got a severance package worth like, $51,523,519,516,873,116,471,892 as a consolation prize so she was pretty much set for life though. But now she's bored so she's decided she wants to get into politics! She tried her hand at it by being a spokeswoman for the McCain campaign, but she was fired from that too for sucking at it. Obviously she'll do fine if left to her own devices. She'll be running against Barbara Boxer, who's a top 10 member of the other list so more on her l8er. 
The chances of Carly winning are slim to none, but I think she'll be entertaining and possibly trainwrecky in her uphill battle. Her website has already provided laffos. http://www.carlyforcalifornia.com/default_flash.html

5. Dierdre "Dede" Scozzafava (R-NY)
Running for: House 
obama chose this guy to be the secretary of the army 
which set off another special election in a random congressional district no one cares about. except this time they ended up caring. they ended up caring so much. the election was actually set to take place in 2009, next tuesday in fact, but it's suddenly taken a stunning turn of events. =o Dede was the central matter in the compelling saga. she just has that kind of gravitational pull. anyway, Dede was chosen by the local party over the summer to cruise to victory as the Republican candidate for this Republican-leading district. Oh and she just so happened to be pro choice, pro gay marriage, pro cap and trade, pro stimulus, pro labor, and pro a lot of other things that all add up to make her not a virtuous enough Republican. Apparently she was courted to run as a Democrat too, and if she accepted nothing that followed would have happened ;_; As you can imagine, many conservatives became Dedenvious and bitched and moaned about her nomination. Thus, the Conservative Party of New York (yes) decided to run their own candidate - this squirrelly looking fellow named Doug Hoffman 
This was controversh in its own right because people said it would SPLITDAVOTE and allow the Democrat to win, but neither side was willing to cave. Because of these unique circumstances, Republican superstars from around the country started weighing in and offering their endorsements in order to keep themselves in the news. Here's how it stacked up: 
the combined powers of palin, pataki, pawlenty, perry and all those other people whose names somehow don't start with p > newt gingrich and the dailykos (lol) Hoffman's new army helped him gain name recognition and rake in tons of money, and soon he was ahead of Dede in the polls. Things got worse and worse for Dede and she started to show signs of a complete breakdown just a couple weeks before the election, doing things like calling the police on reporters and going to Hoffman's campaign headquarters to challenge him to a debate, not realizing what a hilariously awkward photo-op that would be. 
just see how beat down she looks
so charismatic! oh and it turned out that she forgot that she was actually the one that turned down debate challenges lolz Eventually, virtually every poll started showing her in a distant 3rd when it seemed like she would be the clear frontrunner at first. Such an emotional rollercoaster.
Then today Dede announced she was dropping out mere days before the election.
