its a republican mouthpiece
I'm not stipulating that that is true, but even if it were...so? Is it the contention of the left that an organization should be destroyed for expressing oppossing views?

The Dems, as usual, have such a short term strategy.
If it is ok for the administration to single out a news outlet, then when the Repubs retake the WH (as they will eventually do), it will be ok for them to do the same. If a tactic is accepted as ok by one admin (and its "critics"), then it will be done by future administrations. |

Someone is calling for the destruction of Fox News? Let's ratchet down the hysteria. The White House has declared war on Fox. The ultimate goal of war is destruction. Do you honestly think the obama machine would have a problem with Fox being silenced? |

That dork from Media Matters, railing against a news organization for doing investigative journalism needs to go back to school and relearn what the
press's role is in this country. Woodward and Bernstein are somewhere larfing.
And to be saying it on Keith Olbermann's show is all the more delicious. |

Who cares if Fox is a conservative mouthpiece? Everyone knows it is, conservatives are the only ones who take it seriously, why not just acknowledge that Fox
is clearly a soap box for those on the right and for those conservatives who want their opinions upheld.
My only beef with Fox is them still carrying the "Fair and Balanced"...we all know they aren't so its about time for them to jump into the embracing arms of Right America and stop lying to themselves. That being said, I don't support this WH "attack" on any news station, even if its Fox, let other media outlets attack it. WH shouldn't be getting involved in any fight with the media. |

Nubs, your characterization that the previous administration did the same thing is REDONKULOUS.
The video you link is nothing like what the Obama administration is doing to Fox News. Silly. |

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok. What is Obama administration doing? Is it anything like what the Bush regime did to Dan Rather? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan Rather's Conspiracy Theory The former anchorman alleges CBS shut him up to protect George W. Bush. By Byron York Dan Rather has been out of the anchor chair at The CBS Evening News for more than two years. There is wide agreement that the story which led to his departure, a report on George W. Bush's Air National Guard service, was based on fraudulent, or at least unverifiable, documents. CBS commissioned an extensive investigation into the matter, Rather left the network, and the affair seemed over. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NTNjNjVkMGQ2MTIwM2RhMTZlYjBhZDRmY2RjNmM5ZmM= |

But BUSH did it!Interesting when you think about it, Bush did everything wrong yet when Obummer does it somehow it's not wrong. Liberals, delusional hypocrites to the bitter end |

platoshrimp wrote: Oh, so keeping administration officials away from reporters who may actually ask probing, even embarrassing questions is not a form of information control? Right. Members of other news organizations are calling Gibbs to the carpet over the practice, but that's not good enough for you, oh no. And again, Dan Rather fucked himself. Your own quote describes his allegations as a "conspiracy theory," yet you're willing to accept it as gospel truth? What's next, an explosive expose by the guy who wrote that CNN piece back in the late 90's stating that we'd used chemical weapons in Cambodia? You're a nubber ghost, aren't you? Whoever the fuck you are, you're definitely a duller shade of stupid. |

So we're officially embracing the hating on people and calling them stupid just for having different opinions? Sweeeet.
