That was the most diappointing "near death" I've ever seen.
And I agree with whoever it was that said that little bit made them like Shambo more, lol. I still can't stand her, it was just a little bit less for the 10 seconds I read that.

Shambo should have been sat out of the gross food challenge if the plan was to send her to Foa Foa - they did her dirty by having her compete and help them win
and then send her off while the three princesses who didn't take part got to partake in the reward. So she lost a chicken, she also helped win the
chicken. It was a lame attempt to excuse the fact that Russell had no guts and Shambo was the easy target. And his covers instead of tarps decision should
have had his ass voted off if players are going to be punished for mistakes.

Shambo was the easy target because she isolated herself from her team and broke fishing equipment. She looked down on her team from the start and she can't
stop pouting when they show her the same courtesy.

Why is it that noone at Galu comments on the stupidity of sending your biggest outcast over to the enemy camp, more than once? At least Shambo, as annoying as
she his, had the wherewithal to comment on how lame it is to drop from dehydration after many days of torrential downpour. If Russell was trying to do the
work of the rest of his tribe, instead of delegating it like a good leader would do, then he should have been drinking twice as much water as the rest of the
tribe.

It seems to me that they should have been moving around to keep warm. Sitting and shaking just made them more miserable.

Sending her there, since it's what most of the tribe wants and isn't going to really alienate someone who already alienated herself so much, isn't a bad idea. I think the big mistake will be sending Laura, since she has at least one or two solid allies and that's what Foa Foa would need to swing at the merge. I wonder if they make Shambo the leader and she sends Laura. |

There are screencaps showing Shambo wearing the chef necklace, so it looks like that is indeed what happens.

James, I agree that there is less downside to sending Shambo if they have truly already written her off as a potential flip-flopper, but they don't seem to be treating her that way yet, so I don't see the benefit at all of sending her multiple times. My point above is that the Galu members are putting their own desire to be more comfortable or to further alienate Shambo ahead of the tribe's interest, or their own personal interest, in advancing further in the game. If I'm a tribe leader, and I have an opportunity to send a spy to the other side, my goals would be: 1) to gather intelligence from the other side regarding tribe dynamics, voting history, camp life, etc.; 2) to search for a hidden immunity idol, in order to help someone in my tribe (or me) outwit the other team or a counter-alliance; and 3) to start making inroads into possible future sub-alliances or individual votes that will help my game in the future. At this stage of the game, alienating a tribe member or following what my tribe wants is much lower on the priority list. So with those goals in mind, it seems much more logical to me to send myself or someone in my inner circle. The fact that Russell didn't see the possible ramifications of sending the malcontent tells me that either he didn't know this game and didn't have the ability to think long-term, or maybe he didn't really have an inner circle. It's also possible that if he sent himself, he would not have overworked himself at camp and wouldn't have been so dehydrated (but that's speculative hindsight, obviously).chidelta wrote: |
