has there been a more satisfying episode in recent seasons? |

Almost every episode treats us to a depiction of a 'seconds count' race to the finish line for elimination, but rarely does it deliver actual close
finishes, and ever rarer are ones like this.

What a refreshing episode.
It feels so good to lose useless, dead weight. We can finally have an actual fair race now. |

The whole time I was thinking along the lines of its in the previews, they've got a huge ass lead, Mika will get over it like every other racer etc. But
she didn't. I don't care how afraid you are of something, you're telling me for a 1 in 6 shot at 1 million bucks you won't go down a
waterslide?

How was the race not fair before?

This episode provided us with so many laffos. TAR15 totally redeemed itself in my eyes.

This was an awesome episode. I was thinking how awesome it would be for the Globetrotters to blow past Mika and Canaan while they were fighting but figured it
would never happen because we've been teased before with scenarios like this.
The trash talk was just an added bonus. |

I remember countless episodes, where we have one team doing something scary like, say, bungie jumping, and one teammate goes, "I don't think I can do
this!" before going to commercial. Then the commercial comes back, and the person does the task anyway. This has happened hundreds of times, and
we've seen many people overcome sometimes crippling fears for themselves and their teammate. And I never recall seeing a single instance of someone
actually pussying out and flat-out not doing the task. Until tonight.
It surprised me that not only did Mika struggle long enough for the Globetrotters to actually catch up, but she didn't even bother doing the task. A hundred or so racers have been faced with things that scared the shit out of them, from heights to water to everything. Hell, Erika is also scared of water and hesitated, but because she loved her husband, she faced her fear and did the slide. It's amazing that Mika's the only person in the history of this show pathetic enough to back down when life gives her a challenge. It shows immaturity and spinelessness, that she's completely spoiled and throws a tantrum when she doesn't get her way. Even Flo's tantrums were more about fatigue and frustration with the race itself than reluctance to face her fears. It's just sad that we get someone who let her fears conquer her, who was willing to throw away a million bucks just to let her fear conquer her. It's just pathetic. So overall, it was an amazing leg, in that we got some great laughs, we got some eye-candy, and we got rid of dead weight. Fuck Mika. Fuck her dead. |

khnum wrote:Exactly, it was unfair to Canaan. Now we finally have 6 TEAMS racing. Flo was actually better than Mika. Flo at least did the tasks. I remember her "quitting" some tasks, but she always pulled through. Mika just left the area completely. |

Yeah, but that's not unfair to the race. Which is what you said.

Much of this leg was great, but the final ten minutes was just prefect. I loved how the Globetrotters talked so much shit and refused to stop after Canaan
called Big Easy a piece of crap. I died laughing when Big Easy kept saying "I wouldn't do that too" and "don't hurt yourself Mika,"
fucking priceless. I can rewatch that part over and over again. Then Mika screaming and reaching out to the attendant begging him to help her and Canaan
blowing on her floatie while she was crying in hysterics. So awesome!!

Globetrotters passing by Mika was simply epic. Just that is satisfying enough.

Best episode in a long time --- time for another Emmy | ||

1. Do it for the hood....Do it for the suburbs
2. Dad's use of bong reference 3. Trotters commentary of the hood's opinion of them after the watch debacle (and subsequent editorial of them choosing the gold challenge). 3. After seeing them in bikinis, I am now convinced that Maria and Tiffany are men. 4. No fake editing with the fear of doing something...I would pay to watch the entire 2 minutes that Mika sat at the top. Trotters must have said a lot more to Mika than what they aired (and all deserving by the way). I also would have paid to see Canaan pick her up and throw her down the slide after the Trotters went. Mika is like a slot machine that never pays out. Celibate and she cost him a chance for $1 million (and he forgives her?) Good luck you two. Looking forward to watching you both at Elimination Station. |

This episode was really good. I know I wasnt the only one who knew that the Maria would totally own the fuck out of the gold task. I love Maria and Tiffany.

REALLY GREAT EPISODE!!!
Would Mika have had an actual heart-attack in previous seasons when they did the paragliding in Austria (or was it Switzerland? The one where the hillbilly-chick got lost when she walked down the mountain...) or the bungee-jumping off the bridge...? |

The thought of having to hear Sweet Georgia Brown played over some of the most monotonous confessionals ever is not very satisfying
The Roadblock and the ridiculous lead given to Megan/Cheyne ruined what could have been a decent episode, structure wise. |

StarrEise wrote:Loved how fast they went down after trash talking. And it was fair to Caanan. He was a huge part of the reason that she didn't do it. Instead of calming her down and telling her how she could do it and how proud she'd be when she did do it and how it would all be over really fast (ect ect) he made things worse by being such an ass, trying to push her down the slide and telling her that she was crap. I couldn't help but wonder if they're going to work the same way when it's time for them to have sex. |
