27. Anh-Tuan "Cao Boi" Bui
Memorable Quote: "I would bring the Immunity Idol with us, at all times. Every challenge we should bring him." Cao Boi was one of the few bright spots in an awful season. His antics carried the first episode of Cook Islands, and he was a huge reason why most of the viewers were excited about what was to come. Boy, did we end up getting disappointed, but that doesn't take away any of Cao Boi's originality and greatness as a character. This is a guy whose first impression to his (all Asian tribe) was telling racist jokes about himself. This is a man who tried to heal Brad's "bad wind" by leaving a red mark on his head. This is a guy managed to not only annoy his tribemates, but he managed to accidently find Raro's camp and annoy the hell out of them, too. All of it, was entertainment gold. Oh yeah, he also wanted to bring the Immunity Idol with him to every challenge and tribal council for some strange reason. While Cao Boi annoyed the entire tribe and had a terrible social game, he wasn't that bad of player. Sure, he was manipulated to vote out the beautiful Cecilla for almost no reason, but he had a strategic mind. Why do I think this? Plan Voodoo. The idol was such a ridiculously over powered tool in the game during Cook Islands. I hate it now with a passion, but my hate was even more passionate during EI and CI. Cao Boi came up with a plan to split the votes between Candice and Jonathan, thus if one of them was in possession of it, they would have played it to save themselves in a tie. Had Yul not have found the idol, his plan had a great chance of succeeding, and he would have saved us from the fourth worst twist (http://survivorsucks.com/...HED-.html#reply-3157559) in Survivor history for the remained of the season. Who knows, had no one had possession of it for the entire season, Cook Islands may have been tolerable. Instead, Yul didn't want people to realize that he found it himself, so Cao Boi sadly had to go. I wasn't too sad when it happened, but, in retrospect, there wasn't a good episode after the double boot. Was that because of the mutiny, or was that because Cao Boi was gone from our screens? I'm not too sure, but he definitely deserves to be on this list. |

26. Ryan Aiken
Memorable Quote(s): "Bottom line is... we're not going home if we lose. Cause we can't." "A lot of girls over there are eye candy. And that's great to look at. I appreciate looking at them. Thank you for wearing bikinis. But when it comes down to it, you want people that are going to be useful." When people talk about memorable first boots, Ryan is almost always left out of the discussion, and I have no idea why this is the case. He was likable, and he knew how to play the game. He was just taken out early for being a bigger threat than Daniel Lue, and I don't think there is anyone less of a threat than Daniel fucking Lue, especially after his performance on the balance beam. Ryan was one of the cocky men on Tambaqui. He thought the woman didn't stand a chance, and, as a fellow guy, I agreed with him and the other men. I thought their comments were hilarious, and I was rooting for male dominance to continue in the Amazon. Ryan was friends with Daniel and Matt, and he spent a lot of time with Rob and the magic 8 ball, as well, talking about how hot the girls were. Unfortunately, the men lost, and every woman in America rejoiced and laughed at Tambaqui. I didn't, and I felt sorry for some of them to have to deal with Daniel sucking so much. Still, the game was on, and Ryan showed that not all male models were morons. He targeted the unbearable Roger, and he had at least three votes with Dan and Matt. Dave, Butch, and Roger were on the other side of the tribe, and Rob and Alex were the swing votes. Had Rob not decided that the elders were easier to manipulate, Ryan would have been a huge player. Instead, he got shafted in a 4-3-1 vote (Dave voted for Daniel like the rest of the majority should have). Even after having nothing to do with Daniel screwing up the challenge, Ryan was taken out, and I still feel sorry for that happening. In addition to Ryan being really likable on the show, I remember he went on some show after Slime Time Live on Nickelodeon that I used to watch (that I can't remember the name of right now) since all the voted off people from Amazon went on it the Friday after, and he was just as likable as he was during the premiere the night before. That show made me like him more than I already did. |
