First I thought they were not allowed to use a calculator, but when the next team used one I LOL`d so hard, this and Mika at the slide made the episode killer
(oh, and not to forget the suitcase incident, lol)!

Price was close to $1000/ounce, just load a bit less than 500 ounces on the scale, type 500.000 / in your calculator and wait for the new price. Type in
the price, calculate and load the rest on the scale. Every idiot (well, maybe not, as seen on TV, lol) could`ve done that in 2min. TOPS!!!
The scary thing really, is that the people who created that specific detour must`ve figured it might take about the same time to do each, which is even more
hillarious when you think about it, and hence the title of this thread, hahaha!

Exactly. It's 3rd grade division for fucksake. The fact that someone can't do simple math without a calculator is shocking enough, but the gay boys
couldn't even do it WITH a fucking calculator. The 'my American education has dumbed me down' comment really pissed me off, b/c clearly the
retarded beauty queen never made it past elementary school if she couldn't figure out that challenge. The only difficult thing about it was the fact that
the price of gold per ounce changed every minute, and that would only have presented a challenge if you were actually doing the math by hand. Still, 60
seconds is plenty long enough to do a math problem and count out some fucking coins.

I told my 11 year old daughter, the brothers were smart enough to bring a calculator, but too stupid to know how to divide 2 numbers. She laughed out loud.

That's not the exchange rate. That's just the price of gold per ounce in US Dollars. The exchage rate is the conversion of the US Dollar to whatever currency is used in Dubai (I dunno what it's called and I ain't lookin it up). Still, it's simple math. Total USD times the exchange rate divided by cost of gold per ounce. |
