How is Shambo self-entitled? She plays the "I'm a hard worker" card, because that's what she has to play. She's bitched in
confessionals about her tribe not working, but other people like Liz and Yasmin have certainly backed that up to her face, and she's hardly put herself up
on a pedestal. When did not getting along with your tribe become worthy of hate? She doesn't mesh well with her tribe, but so? Some people are just
socially awkward at times. She hasn't passed judgment on them or blamed them because of it. There's no "I'm trying to get along with these
people, but they don't want to talk to me" from her end, just an acknowledgement that they have different personalities.
Hasn't she called herself Shannon when she talks in the 3rd person? |

For me it started when she wanted to be the provider... she was going to fish like a mother effer just like a true survivor... then she lost the gear... and
decided to deal with that mess by lounging in the lagoon and rewarding her hunting prowess (even though she failed and lost the gear)?... and then after
lounging around in the lagoon, she breaks the news to the rest of the tribe that she lost their gear and decided to lounge in the lagoon in response...and then
the chicken incident... she was clucking so much I'm not convinced she didn't encourage the sudden break out of the chicken pen.... and not that it
couldn't happen to anyone else, but all of the sudden when it did happen, she didn't know that birds could fly... and she couldn't re-capture the
chicken to save herself despite all the clucking... and then there was the (okay, funny) moment when the guys tried to school her in subtlety (because she just
gets so excited and has to fist bump anyone who pays her any mind!)
Seriously, it's true she is not "entitled"- the show can cast people who are not entitled and who are also not socially retarded. |
