It would be too obvious It was a bit odd when they went out of their way to point out that Quinn was 1st on the scene. And they never fully explained Quinn and Anton's relationship (aside from the CI, how did they meet?) I don't know.. Quinn is no doubt a dirty cop, but he doesn't strike me as a killer. And what about Anton? Deb tells him she cheated on him and he leaves the hospital? What reason would there be to have him be on screen again. Is that it, he's gone? How anticlimactic! The two of them are up to something. I think Quinn caught word of the affair, told Anton. Anton went nuts, called Quinn after he shot them (killed Lundy, left Deb alive), and Quinn showed up to clean up the mess. Last Edited By: messyone1 10/27/09 4:43 PM. Edited 1 times.

The difference being BTK was abusive and Trinity seems to have a healthy relationship with the family. Some profilers believe the most successful (and prolific) serial killers, that they can't catch, are in fact like Trinity (and now Dexter). Perfectly normal, when outside of their highly compartmentalized compulsion. 99% of the time you are charming, and socially popular, 1% of the time, Ted Bundy.

This show posits that the serial killer gene can get passed around -- witness Dex and his older brother. I wonder if maybe the Trinity family is a family of serial killers? Damaged people seeking out other damaged people and so forth.

That is saying something. Making Quinn a common thief is stupid. Cops can do so much more and if they go bad. Hit drug dealer banks, organized crime work, rival gang enforcement, etcetera.

The guy was an informant for Quinn, of all people. He has a checkered past that we'll find out about soon enough.

If anything, the plot twists will directly involve the Trinity killer and what happens to him. It's not like this is the big mystery of the season, so it doesn't matter if it's "obvious". As far as Miami Metro is concerned, Lundy's murder has been solved.

Maybe I'm just too simple but it was Trinity that discovered how close Lundy was to catching him. He doesn't want to get caught but he bumped into Lundy so that Lundy would know who was kiling him when the time came, and why. Trinity wouldn't take Lundy's recorder because he doesn't know what was on it. :: shrugs :: Deb's meltdown scene was an in-your-face to all her haters. I was proud of her. Great work.

The same, shared, horrific experience that caused the damage. And probably something of a similar experience created Trinity, given his sister/mother/father killing pattern. Prototype??? If I were James Remar, I'd figure out who was posing for my bobble-head. It sure warn't him.

Maybe Rita can get off her worthless ass nad give Debra some good advice and tell her that she should try to make things work with Anton and apologize to him. Deb started growing on me over the last couple of seasons and I thought she did a great job with her breakdown. I felt so bad for her. I also think it is something that would bring Deb & Dexter even closer, with the way Deb was describing herself being the way Dexter feels about himself. I wouldn't be surprised if Quinn was vacation murderer or at least responsible for some of those murders. However, after they already thought they had the Bay Harbor Butcher as one of their own with Doakes, I think having another murdering cop from the same precinct is too much. I can buy Quinn on the take, but they better not make him a murderer. I really grew suspicious of the female reporter, as well, in the last episode. I could see her being involved with the murders in order to have something to report on. She looks like a skanky bitch who would do anything for a story.

Especially since he is going to start following Dexter around (ala Doakes style). When the first vacation murder happened and Dexter was called there to do forensics - Quinn was messing with the safe and Dexter gave him a clue to use to open it. When it worked Quinn was almost laughing at the thought of how easy it was - then he took the money when no one was looking. I say something is fishy with him and I dont see him making it passed this season. I think Dexter will find out the truth of Lundy's shooting while following Trinity around. JMO Anton was brought back this season to be an obstacle for Deb when Lundy came back around. His story is done - he left the hospital and the show. I dont think he will be back. Episode 6, 7, & 8 info Spoiler [+] Season 4, Episode 6: Original Air Date - 1 November 2009 Dexter knows it's only a matter of time before Miami Metro discovers the Trinity Killer's latest handiwork. Therefore, he has to work doubly hard to stay one step ahead of their investigation. Dexter has begun to realize that the closer he gets to Trinity, the more he stands to learn from this very different beast. (i'm joking) I knew you had to be, even before I read it. LOL. What I would NOT mind seeing is that Rita goes, either she divorces Dexter and leaves or dies in some tragic way and Dexter is single again. Deb can discover Dexter's secret and find out that her father knew all along and actually was the one to encourage it and set the Code for Dexter to live by. Deb then assists in protecting Dexter's secret and getting him new baddies to off. I'd really like Deb to discover who Dexter is and quickly get over the shock of it and move on.

She idolizes her father and I think, once she gets over the initial shock, she will think it's okay since Harry approved of it and Harry sent Dexter on his path of being an avenging serial killer.

He wasn't going to kill Doakes, but rather hope that he could frame Doakes sufficiently enough that no one would believe Doakes that he was innocent and Dexter was the Bay Harbor Butcher. Thankfully, crazy Lila killed Doakes and saved Dexter from that stupid plan. Then there was Lila, who it took Dexter finding out that Lila killed her ex and Lila's attempt to kill Rita's brats before Dexter killed her. Dexter will go to prison before he kills an innocent person that discovers his secret and that will be the end of the show.
