One picture shows Liz with her back to the camera holding a puzzle piece. Looks like they have to grab individual pieces, not bags of pieces. The people
are standing only about waste deep in water so the pieces must be easily seen in the clear water. Also looking at the puzzles there appears to be several
colors, so they are putting together a picture, and not spelling something out.

yeah the puzzle pieces are pre-strung on a bobber with a ring on top. The fishing poles have big hooks on them to snag the ring of the bobber. In the galu pic,
if you follow Kelly's fishing line, it's attached to one of the bobbers. They *could* be weighted differently so each bobber sits at different depths
but they don't appear to be that heavy. At the bottom of the string of fish, is a weight, most likely to keep the pieces from floating up.
As for the puzzle, it definately looks like a mosaic of some kind. Both tribes must have a different pattern as Galu has purple/blue around the perimeter while Foa has yellow/red around theirs. Looks like Foa has the whole top border done and is working on the side. Perhaps it's one of those puzzles where each piece butts up to another piece, the colors have to match. |

Laura, John and Monica are sitting out the IC, so they must participate in the RC (for fantasy players).

The puzzle pieces are fish shaped and the puzzle itself looks like a clever Escher drawing.

So it looks like the colors are just for distraction? You're not trying to make a pattern, you just have to fit the fishes together?

I think the puzzle pieces are similar, but not identical so the color matching is part of the pattern.
Some of these challenge props really are clever works of art.
