But Mike V. going out fourth would be the best thing ever. For him to not win and to miss out on the final challenge, while his brother, Kevin & Jen
battle it out would make his head explode.

I'm guessing that if either Volt brother goes before the finale, it will be Bryan. He's been so much less featured throughout the season than ANY of
the remaining chefs. He's good, but he's UTR in every way except his relation to Michael.

WTF was with the liplock Jen gave Mike I? Even the judges looked taken aback.

I think she just kissed him hard on the cheek.
Jen will rebound and be fine...I believe it is all part of her master strategy. If she had done well this week then Eli wouldn't have been in the top 3, and that little boost will probably cause the fat fuck to get overconfident and crash/burn asap. also ROBINPWNAGE of epic proportions! now if she can outlast Michael & Eli. |

One thing I didn't quite understand was them (including Jen) saying Jen's dish was sparse. Everyone's dishes looked sparse except for Kevins. There seemed to be less food on Eli's plate than any of them. |

Yeah, but Eli's had that stunning green stripe that he so forcefully drew.
I actually don't think they kept Robin for production values alone. There are two great sins on Top Chef--not performing some elementary aspect of cooking and then not articulating/recognizing that what you put out is flawed. Mike I. completely failed in cooking the leeks because he was stuck on his idiot idea of presentation as though they were scallops, which didn't happen anyway. And then he couldn't admit that there were problems. He was proud of the carrots, which apparently were also not all that. Robin correctly described the problems--individual dishes that didn't cohere and one had seasoning flaws (apparently, from their reaction). Being correctly analytical has always bought a lot of points in TC. Most of the others also made an attempt to think through the protein problem--that is, getting balanced amino acids from the combination of vegetables and legumes and grains. When they raised that issue with Mike I., he didn't understand what they were saying to him. |

Mike I. is such a douche bag. So very glad he is gone.
Can't tell the difference between the Boring Brothers. Kevin FTW! |

agreeance - Bryan's edit has been really utr as of late. I do think Robin may outlast Eli as her enemies are taken out one by one. Final 4 hopefully the 4 best chefs with - who knows at this point winning, however still hoping it is either Carla or Fabio. |

Que wrote:Those leeks did not look good. But I would disagree about vegans not wanting their food to look like meat. There are tons of items in the vegan frozen food section that mimic the look and taste of meat. Tofurkey, Boca burgers, vegan chicken nuggets, fish cakes etc etc. But I guess scallops don't really look appetizing anyway so that would be a gross one to imitate.

Robin will not win, and frankly I hate it that she is still there.
She is clearly not the chef that these others are, and no matter how dicky Mike I. was-it still seems like he is a much better chef. I still like the brothers Volt, and Kevin. But Jen, meh. Who called her ratface here? Because everytime I see her....I think that too!

Someone pointed out that Kevin and Jen don't seem effected by Mike V's douchebaggery, while Robin and Bryan have reacted.. I think only Robin and Bryan
have been on the receiving end of it, so they're the only ones we see actually being effected.

I think with Jen's dish it looked smaller because she used a smaller plate. When she was plating she said something about everyone using the big plates. I
think most of those dishes were sparse - but looked elegant because of the plate size. Eli's dish was two small pieces of eggplant and six slices of
radish... if she would have used the bigger plates, she would've done better. They thought they were getting a side dish.

Glad that that fuggo Michael I is gone, he was annoying as hell. More than Robin.
What about this Top Chef all-stars?? Is Carla on the show? Cuz it wont be a true all-stars without her. |

There's a store in the Anaheim Garden Walk mall called "Marble Slab Creamery" (yes, it's a rip off of Cold Stone and not as good). This is
what greets people at the door right now:

Fabio's sundae is messy, incomprehensible and oddly appealing.

Everlasting love if she outlasts Eli. And yeah, Michael's a dick for dissing Kevin's dish. While Michael's was more original, Kevin was smart enough to understand the need for a satiating meal. |
