But we're probably too early to judge that they are going to be like Timbira? We'll see.
This preview reminds me of NuFang when Ken asked Sugar to vote Ace, then we thought it will not happen. Then we watched the episode, Ace was voted out. =o |

If it happens, this will be the third consecutive season where the minority tribe dominates the merge.

Funny how n00bs watch a Survivor preview and think they got the next episode figured out...

I hope something unexpected happens, because at this point it looks like the men are going to get rid of the women one by one, then the 4 Galu men will be the
final 4. Ugh. We've had 6 evictions so far, and only once has a man been voted off. The other two were medical. Not that any of the women really deserve to
win, but it's just so boring to watch a tribe or a gender group get Pagonged.

Don't they usually film a season before the previous season airs? They probably hadn't seen Tocantins.

Considering:
1) Timbira managed to lose a 6-3 majority (not including Joe) 2) Kota nearly self-Timbira-ed themselves, indicating some trend 3) The Galu people are targeting each other off the bat 4) Laura & Shambo made alliances/feel more comfortable with Foa Foa 5) They have spoiled TAR previews with Zev/Justin losing their passports & Mika/Canaan losing due to a water slide I'm not just going to put it aside and say "it's misdirection". But it better be, otherwise... |

Then again, who's to say they would be stupid for splitting up? It's an individual game right now and there is no law stating your entire tribe MUST
stick together after the merge. Sure, it makes the most sense, just saying it's all a numbers game. If you don't have the numbers, suddenly there are 4
very eager and willing ally mates waiting in the wings.
Still though...why get frantic? Make the smaller tribe sweat. Maybe vote one of them out, THEN bring them in. -SJ™ |

But it's been pretty obvious that the men and women on Galu don't trust each other. So I don't think of it as an 8-4 merge, it's really a 5-3-4
merge. And that puts the FF4 in the position of picking which alliance to support. The smart move for Foa Foa is to side with the 3 Galu women and get rid of
the men. Then Jaison, Mick and Russell would be in pretty good shape for the final challenges.

It's more of a more 3-4-1-4 merge, with Shambo sitting pretty between the Foa Foa 4 and the 4 Galu men. She's pretty much the only person who's
guaranteed not to go home next week.
Funny how even a thick player like Shambo can find herself so well positioned in this game by simple virtue of being a tool. |

JT4ever wrote:I don't think Shambo is a complete tool. Like every other castaway, she is looking for a way to stay. It has been her misfortune to be on the outs with pretty much everyone in Galu, and she knows it, which is why she stated at least once that she would like to stay till the merge, and then hook up with FF. It's Monica that is stupid because she has no idea what the social dynamics are in her original tribe. Had the voting gone through last week, she would have found out too late how everything shifted against her. But instead of shifting with it, she is still going against by still bringing up Shambo's name up to Russell. Hence each other's target in the previews for next week's episode. |

Also, neither Monica nor Shambo are shown targeting each other next week. You have Monica confused with Laura. |
