Why do they give them proteins that generally take longer than 20 minutes to cook properly in the appetizer round? Seems a bit ridiculous.

I don't understand how they decided on the order - it seems like the winner of the $10K in the first round would have an unfair chance to win a lot more money than the unlucky 3 who don't get to compete until the final round... |

I love though that after 2 chefs used raw red onions in the first round and were scolded by that judge they BOTH used raw red onions again in the second round!
And do these contestants not watch this show? I know I've seen that judge lecturing someone else about raw onions on an earlier season. He even gave him the advice that he should at least soak the sliced onion in ice water for a few minutes to tone them down if he really wanted to use them in the dish. You'd think at least one of these two contestants would have seen that episode and remembered that... |

This is a background noise show for me at best, and I couldn't follow the champions rounds at all. The guide always said NEW but I swore they were repeats and I would quit halfway through. I'm slightly more interested now because I can hope that someone uses red onions whenever whatshisface is a judge. Take the fucking things out of the pantry if they're going to cost people points. asshole |

Alex Guarnaschelli always has the look on her face like Aaron's been eating refried beans all day and just let one rip. She's a smug, arrogant,
all-around unpleasant bitch. And I really wish they'd do an episode where the judges are thrown into the kitchen and have to display their skills.
That's what I loved about Top Chef Masters.....seeing some former guest judges come to the realization of how truly fucking difficult the ridiculous
challenges are.
