Does this Survivor Arctic person like anything? Has to be ugly aside from being Canadian.

If it makes you feel better SA, I'd rather it were in some other part of Canada that wouldn't piss you off as much?

Because even with the regular nic they are still a lame, mouthbreathing retard?
Just a guess considering they failed to see I was actually praising the Olympic medal design in a quiet way so as to not take attention away from the hate that boils inside me for the Olympic games as a whole. Also, Hi QB! |

I guess according to your theory you must have the face of a fucking frying pan. Have a re-read of some of the shit you have written and then take a look around at the glass house you live in. What a sad, doomed, hypocritical little life you must live. |

I'm not going to allow you people to harsh my Olympics joy. 3 and a half months to go!
We're seeing hockey, bobsleigh, curling and speedskating so far. May try to get more tickets soon. And I have a couple of friends carrying the torch. I might get to touch it! |

zummm, yeah. SA's post was one that enlightened and commiserated with the general consensus (or maybe just me and her???) of Olympic fuckery. Although I'm sure that there will be a moment or two during the Games when my black heart is moved to beat again. AND I have now found out about this faboo Hunt family and I like what I see!!! The medals are still ugmo though. I LOVE THIS ONE BY RICHARD HUNT: ![]() The design was done in 1991, and shows three faces in the shape of Vancouver Island and representing the Salish, the Nuu-Chah-Nulth and the Kwagiulth. |

I wasn;t sure about the medals at first but since I found out why they are wavy and about the artwork, I have decided I like them. I like watching the games as
well and sure I will feel get all proud and touched and shit about some things that will happen, but it is also going to be very trying.
My daughter works at Stanley park and takes the bus, it is probably going to be a nightmare getting to and from work every day. |

Can't wait for these Olympics! Oh curling, how I've missed you so.
Like the medal design that they have here. How unique! |

Went grocery shopping today and ran into the Olympic Torch Relay by accident.
Apparently, I just happen to live in one of the official Olympic Celebration Communites... I was surprised by the previously non-existent excitement I had.

Run OVER them if you should happen to see them again. OVER.
And I don't see a lot of running in that pic. |

They were very crafty... they had some poor crippled girl as the previous torch bearer.
Apparently, my heart isn't 2 sizes too small afterall... crap. |

anybody know how many daze 'til the Olympics begin???
my take on Duh Gaems: unfortunately, they've become a bit (a lot?) of a CORPORATE ORGY. the original ideals behind them kinda get lost in all the hooplah. that said, at their core, they're still a way for countries to [cliche]compete on the playing field instead of the battlefield[/cliche] the athletes are a dedicated (mostly) young lot, and deserve the chance to pursue their dreams despite all the negatives. plus, those who are still demonstrating against them could definitely be putting that energy to better use. trying to STOP the games now is like protesting against sleep... or breathing. they're coming, they have a pretty broad range of support here, and they'll be over before we blink. got nothing against demonstrating against the gov't, but stopping some kid with cerebral palsy from carrying the torch ain't gonna win too many converts to your side. BUT MOSTLY... a) some cute Slovakian skier let me take his pic in front of the Clountdown Cock today, and b) even the Canookian curlers(!) are cute.
plus, a couple of weeks ago, I got to take the new Canada Line straight into Vancouver Int'l Airport. without the Olympics, I would have had to take 2 buses (unlikely) or spend $30 on a cab. (thus, I've already recouped $27 of my extra tax dollars spent) finer-ly (for those who haven't fallen asleep while reading this): I ain't been posting much lately 'cause I'm doing some serious training for February. watch for me in both Synchronized Spliffing and the Bong Sled Race. peace! OOOOOut. |
