I was shocked to read this on the homepage of Yahoo today. I didn't start watching until cycle 6 so it was off my radar back then, but does anyone
remember any sort of stir about the cycle 4 "Got Milk?" commercial that made such headlines? I would think the bigger problem with this season would
be the blatantly stereotypical "fashion interpretation" of these ethnicities and cultures, which even then
weren't that bad and made for a couple nice shots even with Tyra's recent love affair with sepia tone.

Yeah, I'm not clear on if the shoot was guilty of racism, but rather, more like you say, of cultural stereotyping.
I thought it was hilarious when Erin said at panel that all she knew about Tibetans was that some people thought they should be freed, and Tyra acted indignant but couldn't come up with any other characteristics herself so she sort of changed the subject. |

Skip to 6:30. That's Brittany's reason why she was stoic. You can't really blame her; if she didn't try to be Native American, the judges would've just ripped her apart for not embodying her racial theme.
Also, listen to what Jay says. He says she's doing a perfect job. BUT they insert a soundbyte from another episode saying "pick up the energy". They had no legit reason to axe her. So ridic.

Brittany got axed because she doesn't make a good enough reality TV contestant and her modelling isn't as strong as Nicole's to compensate.
