It almost made me ashamed to be Canadian but thank the gods some relatively sane person at CTV stopped the horror. Oh, and this - In December 2008, CTV announced that Canadian Idol would be "suspended", not airing in the 2009 season due to "the current economic climate", but that it expected the show would return in 2010.Following the announcement, Joel Rubinoff, television critic for the Waterloo Region Record, strongly criticised the show's direction, declaring that it had "bottomed out creatively in every possible way" and "outlived its usefulness" Last Edited By: perfidiousamber 10/31/09 8:32 PM.
