Australian Idol gay star Kate Cook leaves ex girlfriend Kerry Scrivener for sister in bombshell

AUSTRALIAN Idol has been hit by another bombshell today, after gay star Kate Cook's ex-girlfriend revealed she has hooked up with her sister after Toby Moulton quit.(Fuck u again, Toby)

The Lowood cowgirl's ex-girlfriend Kerry Scrivener has told a women's mag that she was left shattered when Cook broke up with her only to take up with her younger sister Susan Vitlern. "After eight years in a relationship it's a hard road now," Kerry tells Woman's Day.

"It's even harder trying to deal with the fact that Kate and Susan are together. I only had one sister, Susan, but now I say I have no sister at all."

Meanwhile, Australian Idol has taken an unusual turn, with schoolteacher contestant Toby Moulton quitting the show, saying he prefers the classroom to the spotlight.

The 30-year-old apologised to his fans, friends and family today, and said he hoped the decision to withdraw from the singing competition would not leave anyone downhearted.

"I have come to a point where I have realised that at this stage I do not want a career in music,'' said Moulton, the oldest contestant in the 2009 competition.

"The (other contestants) each have an enthusiasm and drive that I cannot match and I must step aside so that they have the best chance to prosper as young Australian artists.

"To my school kids ... all of Australia knows how much I care about you all and how much I love my job. I think it's taken this experience to realise this.''

Although Moulton, from Adelaide, had struggled with the idea of a high-profile career, he says he will miss the adoration.

"My biggest consideration when making this decision was those beautiful people who have become fans.

"I will miss the smiles, hellos and beautiful messages you have blessed me with.''

The Network Ten show pulls in about one million viewers each week, and contestants are voted off by the public.

It has launched the careers of successful artists including Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian, Shannon Noll and Wes Carr (bitch fucking please).

Moulton was repeatedly penetrated by judges for his taste in music, often choosing to sing songs from the indie genre, rather than the show's usual mainstream offerings.

His departure meant the remaining four contestants, Nathan Brake, James Johnston, Stan Walker and Hayley Warner, avoided facing elimination. All will survive at least another week on the show.

A backstage source said Moulton's choice was considered brave and noble (.Wow, Toby's on the same level as Mandela? )

"It was not taken lightly when first discussed,'' the source said.
