It's not even like you can justify it by saying that she was a good player or something. Or that she was even interesting. She was a complete bore the entire time out there, and usually I tend to like the under-the-radar females, but Sydney just doesn't get a pass from me. She...didn't DO anything lol, and it's totally obvious that people only like her because she's hot. How lame. And it's not even like she had a sweet/cute factor that would put her on the same level of people like Paloma or Brooke. So yeah, Sydney is deffos overrated around these parts.

So I guess I see her as more overrated than as someone with a big fanbase.

I loved looking at her, second only to stephanie. As far as her playing of Survivor went, well, she was on a tribe that largely did not do so well. But still, I can't say enough about her looks. Hate Shii Ann, just wanted to say that.

It's the editors and producers who decide who's gonna be in the limelight, and around whom the show's narratives will revolve, to say nothing of portraying them as the sweetie, the hero, or the villain-you-are-expected-to-love-to-hate. Sydney never really got to that point. Sugar, Sierra did.

I hadn't seen Marquesas before ASS, so I figured that was maybe why I didn't get it. But then I watched Marquesas, and...nope. She was still obnoxious and annoying. Sorry. Please don't kill me.

No. I could rewatch the entire season (and most likely will at some point) but I will still not get her huge fanbase. I would say Crystal, but while I couldn't stand her and found her to incredibly useless and a waste of a spot, I "get" her fanbase. She's a loudmouthed black woman, and therefore was going to be loved here no matter what.

Never have we seen such a woman as gusty as she was. Kathy was instantly isolated from the group and went from Rotu's first potential boot to the biggest female powerbroker that we had ever seen. Sure we had Tina but Tina never had to come THAT far out from the outs. And IMO, Kathy's personality was much more loveable then Tina. How could forget the HAW-HAW-HAW laugh that we all came to love. Ahh I'm totally getting red and flustered just writing this.
