I'm going to say it right now, if you didn't like Gabe while watching Marquesas, you don't have a soul. He was extremely likable when he was there, and I'm probably committing a felony by not ranking him higher. The only reason he isn't is because I liked other people, other pre merge boots specifically, from Marquesas more. Still, Gabe was a breath of fresh air in Marquesas, and if a player like him would be casted now after having to watch boring gamebots for so long, they would easily become one of my favorite castaways.

It's hard to really describe Gabe because he was such an out there individual. The best way to explain him is like a nicer Greg Buis. He didn't want to play the game; he just wanted to make sure everyone was happy. Even when he was telling Kathy what an annoying bitch she was early on over in Rotu, he confronted her in such a nice, calm manner that he came off looking like the good guy. He was a huge reason why pre swap Rotu was called the Love Tribe. Also, this wasn't just some nice scrawny kid, Gabe was extremely athletic, and he made sure Rotu didn't have to go to tribal council. He couldn't go through with voting anyone off.

After the swap, camp Rotu became a little different when three schemers were brought into camp. Gabe didn't like that too much because he, as he told paranoid freak John, wasn't there to play the game. Gabe didn't want to outcast anyone even with all the tension in camp. He still tried to make friends with Sean, Rob, and V by joining them in a pretty funny rap battle. That only made John more nervous. "Of course he is here to play the game, this is not a commune!" Well, it could have been a commune if you let it be, asswipe. Because of this, John and the Rotu 4 take out Gabe in a heartbreaking tribal council instead of two people, Rob and Sean, who they know hate their guts. They know Rob and Sean are going after them and will be as long as they are in the game, yet they vote out the likable non threat in Gabriel Cade. I don't understand it, and it screwed over the Rotu 4 at the merge. Why? Well, Gabe was close to Paschal and Neleh, and they were absolutely shocked to find out that he had left. This semi helped them wake up and realize to play the game for themselves.

I have to say that I was happy Rob and Sean were spared, but it still needs to be said. Fuck you, John Carroll.
