The way I see it is the Phillies have already exceeded my expectations for this season and even if they lose, they'll still have won just last year and
until some NL team can step up, will probably be right back in the WS again next year. Winning back to back would have been nice, but I can't really fault
this team for losing when it appears they've simply run into a better team.
The Eagles on the other hand got one step closer to establishing themselves as the best team in the east yesterday and young guys like Jackson, Maclin, and McCoy give me hope that they'll still be competitive for years to come. And lets face, as any Philly sports fan will tell you Eagles winning a super bowl > Phillies winning back to back WS |

Philadelphia ended a 25 year sports championship-less streak last fall.
As far as baseball is concerned, they are playing with house money. It's difficult to repeat and even if the Sillies come up short, it's still a success. The ballpark sells out, fans have a great product to cheer for and given the relative youth of the team and farm system in place, they'll be a force for a few years (pending how free agency could impact the Utleys, the Howards, etc..) to come. But Philly is first and foremost, a football town. The Eagles haven't won a championship since 1960. That's a half century. As long as that continues, that's going to be the burning hole in the Philly sports resume. If the Flyers or the 76ers win a championship soon, that would be nice but nothing will ever compare to an Eages SB championship. |

he shouldnt count since the supplement totally fucked him over by not listing the steroid on the label. but really steroids arent why the yankees are winning
the series, its cause we cant hit, every single homer has been a solo shot, every time we have a chance to get a big inning we blow it, and the yankees throw
so many strikes that we cant hit anywhere. plus our closer chose a fantastic time to have his season fall apart again.
