Nice avatar, Felicia.
Consider the pylons/towers. Simcoe said they killed 20million. How many towers would they need to cause the world to black-out or at least what strength of power. What sort of high energy frequency would cause a global blackout, but cell phones could still be used.

Well I just watched thursday's episode and was pleasantly surprised that it didn't suck.
It wasn't amazing, but if it doesn't get any worse I'm still in. Another episode like the congress one though and I black out for 2 minutes and wake up strangling the Power Ranger writing staff that signed onto this show. |

Simon was choking some guy on April 29, not on the day the flashforwards occurred.You're confusing me. April 29th is the day everyone flashed forward to. I never thought he was choking someone in October. If Simon had a FF of choking some guy on April 29th, just as Mark flashed to the board, Olivia to Lloyd, Stan to the shitter, etc, how could he be suspect zero? He would have blacked out, too. Suspect Zero was awake. Is token lunatic the only one who understood that?? ITA about the editing. I also wondered if Suspect Zero could have blacked out but not for the full 2 mins 17 seconds.. which opens up the possibility of stadium dude being a big surprise. |

I don't understand the point of this person. If he knew the whole planet was going to blackout and not him, why the hell would you be in a stadium? Why not
be in a bank? or some place he could profit from. Either money or information. (the things I could do to a blacked out Megan Fox in 2:17...)
The only explanation I see is that this was an experiment (like Simcoe said) and he wanted to be in a place with a very big crowd to see what happens. |

the person was there for a specific reason. Being captured on film at the stadium for a reason. I'm sure it will be explained.
I thought Dom's character was drowning the babysitter in her FF. I can't keep all these FFs straight. I need to create a website where people can log into and add their FFs. Oh wait... |

The question is, if we the viewer are shown a flash-forward (vs. simply told about one), can we assume that's real? Personally, I'd be pissed if actual
images we're shown turn out to be lies. Out of context is fine, or only showing us parts of the FF to mislead us is acceptable, but they should all be
accurate portrayals of the FF.

It could have been flashes of a memory of something that already happened. I was just saying (for the last time) if he wasn't lying.... And.... Personally, I'd be pissed if actual images we're shown turn out to be lies. Out of context is fine, or only showing us parts of the FF to mislead us is acceptable, but they should all be accurate portrayals of the FF.I've changed my mind from earlier in the season when I thought it might be cool if a lot of the FFs were misinterpreted. The more flashes we see, especially those shared (like Olivia and Lloyd), the more I believe the flashes are NOT lies or misleading the viewers. Simon is an exception. What he saw is a mystery to the viewers and I'm good with that, but I still think it was a real FF and he's not stadium dude. Could be wrong. Happens often. |

Except most planes, at least the commercial jets, are flying on autopilot. Blacking out for two minutes wouldn't cause the plane to crash; the obvious example is the Northwest plane that overshot its destination by 150 miles because the pilots were on their laptops. The only planes that should be crashing are the ones that are taking off or landing. The show seems to get this right (otherwise there wouldn't be any planes left for characters to use) but it still doesn't explain why every skyscraper in LA is on fire. I guess I'll just have to take it to mean a lot of people were smoking at the time. I'm three episodes in now and I can see how the show is already slipping in quality and wondering exactly how it's going to drag itself out for a whole season, let alone be renewed for a second (are they gonna black out again?). The biggest plot hole to me is, and I doubt this has been addressed in the episodes I haven't seen, why is everyone just "going about their day" in their flash-forwards? The entire world has been given a glimpse of the future, and it's common knowledge that that glimpse occurs at 6am UT on 4/30/2010. Even though they "know" what they're gonna be doing at that moment, wouldn't you be staying up and watching live coverage on CNN, or at least holed up in your basement just in case it's Judgment Day? You wouldn't be casually reading a newspaper in the bathroom or sharing an intimate moment at home with your new lover or stepping off a plane from Germany. Frankly you'd think the whole planet would shut down that day and hold its breath. |
