And Shag, the cops are only being cops , like the ones they romance from all the movies. When you're getting paid $6.50 an hour it's all about bustin' heads and askin' questions later!

Lifetime ban is laughable. These guys will be shopping in the next one across town in minutes. Also, WalTard doesn't prosecute for anything under $25.

:: cough child molesters cough ::Yeah, that's great, but why always foreign kids? What's wrong with home grown white meat? What are they, fuckin' racists? |

no one cares if a foreign kid with a lazy eye gets diddled. Try that with an american white baby you you are going to jail. Dont ask me how I know this.

So did they pay for the lighters or not. Article said they didn't ring up, but they still tried to leave with them.
It was probably an honest mistake that got blown out of proportion, but it is shoplifting. |

The description makes it clear it was an honest mistake- the guy scanned all the lighters but on the receipt, the second packet didn't show up. It was on
camera.
I actually don't blame the cops too much for this one. Walmart calls and says they have a shoplifter and they want him charged, the cops just take him away. Yeah, they should've asked questions, but Walmart definitely bears the majority of the blame. As for the racial/ethnic make up of the kids...it's a helluva lot easier for gays to get an overseas adoption than a homegrown American baby. |

Then it was just an honest mistake blown out of proportion. Both sides need to shut the hell up and go their separate ways.

I would agree with that if they'd merely detained the men for an hour to watch the tapes. Having the police arrest the men (after the gays had actually
asked for the police's help) is what stepped it up. That the employees were traumatizing the special needs kids with slurs and stuff again puts the blame
on Walmart. They should've apologized, kissed their ass a bit, and then I think this would never have escalated. It reminds me of the Gates-Harvard case in
that it never should've gotten this far.

This kind of shit would never have happened at Woolco!

I really don't like the concept of holding a business responsible for every word their employees say.
Wal-Mart pays crap wages, and in return they have crap employees. Do you really expect professionalism from a Wal-Mart employee? I'm amazed they've figure out how to where shoes. |

Except that we only have the assertions of the two men that the "employees were traumatizing the special needs kids with slurs". You can't
believe everything people claim, especially when they go to the press instead of the court. The fact that these two guys are want to try the case in the media
rather than a courtroom tells me that they're exaggerating what happened. This is not an objective, unbiased report.

Yeah, I guess I should say Walmart employees, not the Walmart corporation.
They're trying it in the media because suing Walmart would cost a couple million dollars, like they mentioned. |
|||
Beefcake |

Which is complete B.S. They're not suing because they know they can't win.
My point is that if we talked to the WalMart employees, we would likely get a very different version of what happened. It's not fair to assume that whatever a complaining party says must be true. It hardly ever is. There are three sides to every story: the plaintiff's, the defendant's and the truth. |

Can I go on record that I also hate gays with children and have effectively banned them from my life.

Maybe, instead of pissing away time at the beginning of every shift singing stupid songs about how wonderful Walmart is, they should use that time to teach their employees good customer service skills. |
