Hey Ash - Side note... Moved to Quebec from Ontario about 8 years ago, always liked it here. So found it cool when I recently found out I was born a Bouchard
and have roots here. Never knew my birth name until this year (Ontario got open adoption records back in June so I filed a request for my original birth
registration). Vive le Quebec, hostie calisse!

No open records in Quebec yet? That's a bummer... I think it's coming though, most provinces are falling in line. Patience...
Kind of a mixed blessing on my end though - I finally have a name, but now the real work begins if I actually want to track down my birth mother. Bouchard is not exactly a unique name, ther's like a bazillion of them in Quebec and Ontario. Would be easier if it was a more obscure name. |
