One could argue that Shii Ann's race was a factor. And although Boston Rob was a good character, Sean was just as much, if not more entertaining, and placed better. Also, tullfan, I though Neleh was not allowed to play in ASS due to her job with SEG....I do totally agree with the rest of your post though, and agree that Mike Skupin got bumped for Rupert. And it's a real shame...

Not Rodger because we already had another old likeable guy in Rudy, not Nick because he was boring, and Alicia was more memorable than Varner to most casual fans. Having 4 Ogakors and zero Kuchas would've been ridiculous (but Amber shouldn't have been there in the first place, but whatever)

Even though I hate, hate, hate Jenna L, I can see why they would cast her. From Australia: This season was way over represented but it not surprising given the popularity. The glaring selection was Amber. Even look at that and thought 'WTF!?! Who?". I would've been happy if Amber hadn't been there and we could've been spared of "The Romber Show". From Africa: The only way I would've liked the picks from Africa is if Kelly Goldsmith had been one of them. I think Kelly should've gotten another shot at it considering it would've been a Kelly vs. Lex Round 2. But Africa wasn't as well renown of a season, and the Boran Boys definitely ruled the roost. From Marquesas: Kathy and Rob are fine. But they did not cast one of the most interest players to date: Sean Rector. He should've been on there. Two representatives from one of the better seasons just isn't enough. From Thailand: I think Shii Ann being the only representative says something about the Final 9 of that season. Who did we have? Honestly, Shii Ann was put on because she was unique and quite honestly probably one of the few people anyone could remember from that season. One could make an argument for Helen, but Kathy already took over the "older woman" quota. From Amazon: Jenna and Rob were perfect, and really the only two that I could really tell were worth remembering. From Pearl Islands: Rupert (although I hate the guy), and honestly I would've liked to have seen Sandra on that first All Stars edition. Too bad she couldn't do it. Say, was it ever proven that Shii Ann took Kelly G's spot? Apparently Kelly was switched for Shii Ann at the last minute because they wanted a Thailand rep. I just keep thinking, "Ditch Amber!" Kelly and Shii Ann being on the same season would've been a riot to watch.

With a tribe of six there was no wiggle room and players like Tina, Ethan and Rob C were doomed.

I think that it would have been more interesting to organize the tribes not be seperating the seasons, but by putting them back together. Richard, Rudy and Sue on Mogo Mogo; Colby, Jerri and Tina on Saboga, Rob C and Jenna together, etc.

I'd say that on ASS he was shown to be considerably weak. Fair enough that on Borneo he was not shown as weak. But four years older=four years weaker. To have a 76-year-old in the cast with all the others is just ridiculous...We all knew Rudy was toast. What you call revisionist history, I consider common sense.

Hatch, Rudy and Sue were fine returning for ASS1. JLew was too much. Tina, Jerri and Colby were fine. Alicia and Amber were too much. Lex and Tom were fine because of the potential F4IC screwage. Ethan gets a pass as a winner. Kathy was fine. Rob took the spot Black Sean should have had. Shii Ann was understandable because of race and her F10 screwage. Rob and Jenna from Amazon were fine. Rupert was fine. I would bring in Helen and force Heidi and Sandra to play again. Hatch - Rudy - Colby - Lex - Tom - Ethan - Rupert - RobC - SeanR Sue - Tina - Jerri - JennaM - ShiiAnn - Kathy - Helen - Heidi - Sandra

If I remember correctly Rudy wasn't voted out because he was a liabilty in any of the challenges they had done..it was becuase he could potentially have been a liability in the future with his injury.

Posts: 491 (11/04/09 4:19 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	The swimming RC in his boot episode. Most of those challenges were swimming/water-oriented. Rudy would've failed miserably. In Borneo, there weren't a whole lot of swimming challeges Rudy needed to do.
