Are the water levels at Lake Travis getting any better? We had a free lakehouse stay offer this summer, but the laske was so low we ended up passing on it...

The lake levels in Travis and Buchanan are still very low - the others are fine because of the series of dams.

Austin is great to visit, but I would never want to live there. Too many conventions and way too expensive to live.

Austin is great. the best food and music and countryside. however, I am so accumstomed to the dry Texas plains, I wilt when I get down in the hill country.

Even I loved lilving there except in August then my hair did a Bride of Frankenstein thing.. not good.
I loved sitting poolside at the Hotel San Jose or having coffee at Jo's.. So Congress was my favorite hood or 4th Street,6th is a little young for me... but good if I need to send the boys for some clubbing and drugging.. well I have to "date" somehow. Does Natalie Maines and hubby still live there after they ruined my house on Trading Spaces I wonder how bad it is.. I am going there soon to meet with one of my mentors ... Austin just rocks.. and it has a Last Call... omg!!! |

We always say we're gonna relocate to Austin eventually, but no firm plans yet. I do love the place though.
