I rarely post on this site anymore, and I don't believe I've ever posted in this section before however I've been an edgic follower for quite a few years now. I think, honestly, the editors have in recent seasons been trying to edit the winners a lot more unconventionally. This season has had many flashbacks for me to Borneo, and for a while I was insistant that Russel and Liz would make finals, because both of their edits reminded me so much of Rich and Kelly. Russel is the schemer who is a complete jackass, yet charming, Liz is younger, yet not feminine female who has strong opinions and bases her decisions similar to males (such as strength/work around camp). Shambo is Sue Hawk to a T as well :P So many flashbacks to Borneo for me which I love.

Mick to me is completely void of any emotion. He reminds me of Marcus. He's there, but has no emotion, depth, or personality, but because he gets decent screen time and a decent edit, he's #1 on everyone's list. He is not on my winner's list because he had no input into anything this episode, and the merge episode is very important for the winner, and based on this episode alone...he would be thrown off my list. Jaison had the best conventional winners edit this episode, but he's not our winner. The winner doesn't quit, and if he was indeed the winner, his quitting would be edited somewhat positive, but he's been on the verge of quitting several times, and nothing about it was positive to me.

Russel, for me, is either leaving soon, or he's our winner. For the editors to focus every episode around him, it's either to make a very rememorable winner in hopes of boosting ratings, or as a helping point for the potential winner. If I am right with my instincts, and Russel is voted off within the next 2 episodes, I think that Natalie might be our winner because she is the most connected to him, and he's the most rememerable this season, so if Russel is voted off, the focus might go on Natalie and her turning things around after her biggest ally is voted off (a common theme for a lot of winners such as Danni losing Gary, Sandra losing Christa, etc.) and I think that the way Natalie's been edited with Laura in these past 2 episodes, it makes me think Russel is just a pawn in helping Natalie become an unexpected winner, with it making sense because Natalie's been shown that she can do things without Russel (but while still helping him because Natalie getting close to Laura in the episode before the merge was edited as a good thing from Russel's standpoint)

Personally Natalie's my favorite because she's not OTT, but she's not "boring". Her stratagy is showed in such an odd way. Her air time is always very brief, when she's visibile in episodes she's seen in clumps, she's never a main focus of the episode. This episode tonight was the same. Aside from one confessional Natalie got nothing, except a small scene where she convinced the girls that Erik needed to go (still confused as to how she wasn't a choice for Player of the week) and while it was short, it was the most important factor in changing the tides for her tribe. I'm hoping Natalie's presence becomes more consistant, and less clumpy in the next few episodes because I'd love to see her win because when she is shown, she has very important and reflective things to say.

I hope I didn't make myself sound like an idiot, but this is just the way I've seen this season so far :P
